Since i posted the above photo this morning i have recived an overall view of Honington that seems to confirm the first one as Honington…the nissan huts have yet to be built (presumably the foundations are there or they are just out of shot) the windsock is in the right place and the first pic may have been taken from the control tower

Again this pic is public domain so if you want a copy just PM me 🙂

I showed the pic to my dad, straight away he said Honington and hes only interested in modern stuff

IIRC i’m sure the HHA guys when they dismantled her said she was fairly good…I stand to be corrected though

But if the new owners dont get her covers on soon she will deteriorate rapidly, shes only about a mile away from the sea:(:(

Heres a pic of the Starfighter that arrived at the aerodrome for a few short months, there was at the time talk of a couple of Lightnings also arriving at Ingoldmells, but for whatever reason that never happened:(:(:(
