There was talk of ZE360 being moved to Coltishall? or Wattisham, any ideas what happened to that venture?
ZE360 is my favorite i got rescued out of her when i was a baby fireman, so i hate to see her still at Manston knowing whats going to happen to her eventually:(:(:(
It matters to some people;) personally i’m not bothered either way but i am curious:)
So that means the entire production run is wrong so technically they dont have a mistake just the wrong markings which means the price of them in later years wont go up…is that right?
One of their more obvious errors.
That’s what stopped me from buying it!
Peter
Perhaps it would have been woth buying and leaving in the box?
Star Wars figures with mistakes and still in the box/packaging can be worth a mint (according to a pal who seems to know!! he talked about some figure from the 70s) I dont:)
I take it the mistake has now been rectified?
The Vulcan’s still undecided and I doubt if many Vulcan fans will be foolish enough to go to the show based on hope.
Theres no point even hoping for it to be there its not authorised to fly yet let alone display authorised, it will be lucky if its seen at RIAT next month
Hoping 2010 will be third year lucky in my (so far futile) attempts to see the Vulcan fly
On the local news tonight that the Vulcan will not be attending:(:(
Thanks HHA Eng my info is now updated 😉
Quick update 456 is still in bits :(:(
Thanks for sorting that little problem out for me chaps much appreciated :):)
Will they still be there? or were they eventually recovered?
Who knows? It sits in the 29Sqn hangar and as far as i know hasnt been seen outside this year!! perhaps the families day this weekend will reveal something?
Further to the tail saga, it was removed at Binbrook but definately not cut. So apologies for being missleading:)
Anyway its definately been a beautiful day for moving a Lightning:):):)
As Binbrook 74 has said 456 is now on a lorry waiting to be moved at about 5am tomorrow
First thing this morning, scaffolding still up and the tail is off
Scaffolding removed and the crane is in position
Overall shot with the crane extended and the straps going into place
Airborne :):):)
Being swung round for the lorry to back underneath
Safely on the back of the lorry
The obligatory nose shot
Thats the lot from me of the move, I have seeked permission from the new owner to follow the rebuild in photos so more to follow soon…all being well
Photos removed but they are viewable on my Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/last_lightning/
Memory can be a terrible thing, i’m sure it turned up from Binbrook with the wings cut and the tail cut, could it have had a replacement?
Now i’ve woke up thinking about it I remember her sat in a shed at the factory and the tail was on so i stand corrected for supplying duff info…it must have been the wings that had to be cut
;):D:)
Probably not I do belive he retired a number of years ago.
