hmmmm i think its been upside down then craned over onto its belly hence the damage behind the cockpit.

The body looks real enough but i suspect its the Russian front so probably not the original pilot, looks more like a Russian uniform to me.

Plenty of original WW2 shots look similar to this, fake but real and vise versa

I think thats quite the best idea i’ve heard in ages, not only could there be half a lightning but half of a lot of other things Phantom, Tornado, Jaguar etc, etc, in fact a whole new museum could created just on that one idea…or two?:)

Could this be a provider that was used in the filming of Air America?:) I belive they crashed one with the biggest bit remaining the fuselage, as the pics show the rest of it is quite a mess:)

The buzz of clearing the pier must have been awesome 🙂 ….but i fear it will start some form of craze then the wombles will get invoved to get it banned 🙁
