Did someone mention me????
BD seems to be the prevailing answer nobody is saying that it isn’t. BD seems to be the favorite on the other forum aswell
I must say a big thank you to everyone that has helped figure this out :D:D:D:):):)
ok i’ve thrown it over to the Airfield Information Exchange will keep you all posted about whats said over there:)
Atcham Tower the original pic doesnt have a 6 painted on the nose but if its the same angle(ish) and the background looks the same then would that be enough evidence to say conclusively that its Boscombe Down?
Ballykellybrat also suggested BD again for rocket trials but with a different Boston than the one you are suggesting.
So it seems to be either Boscombe Down, Hooton Park or Old Sarum thing is which one?
Close up of the rockets….i suspect this to be the same Boston as in the afore posted pic
😮 I’m admitting defeat on this one…. thanks for the correction about that Google reference pic – I’ve checked OS and yep this hangar view was there alright…..
Got to say I was rather hooked on finding out where the main query pic was taken – this amateur detective stuff is far more interesting than I thought…. 😀
Feel free to pick another pic out of the photostream there are loads of unanswered ones:):)
BTW a big thank you to everyone that has helped in trying to find answers to this particular photo

Can’t help with the location – but what a fascinating and poignant set of photos it belongs to on Flickr…. 😮
Facinating stuff isnt it:) I spend hour upon hour going through them trying to figure out the what, when and who, with regular contact with the Flickr account holder we generally get all the info we need sorted then move onto another pic:)
Sometimes they get the better of us both in which case i bring them to this forum, because the knowledge base is second to none :):):)
