    Vulcan B2 XL360, looking immaculate

I hadn’t realised that it had been repainted. No easy task i’m sure. Just what a lot of people needed, some positive Vulcan news! 🙂 Thanks for posting the pictures Peter.

I agree, great time of year that sees the veterans get the exposure they deserve. I sold poppies last year which was a worthwhile experience, sadlty this year I am too busy but a quick phone call to the Legion got the photo lab I work in a few hours a week a box and collection tin so thats something I guess.

Daz, Just a thought but could the reason that Tesco only allow the poppy sellers 4 days a week have something to do with the fact that they try and allocate the space to others during the week, ie poppies mon-thurs, cancer research friday, oxfam saturday etc?

Cees, Im afraid I have nothing to add except another question, is this the one at East Kirkby? A very powerful display I have always thought.

The whole situation is ridiculous. I really feel sorry for newer forum members. How are they meant to follow any thread when clear language is never used. Perhaps we need a glossary to explain phrases such as ‘ a certain sea fury owner ‘ (Steve Patterson, my first entry in the glossary) or a certain Mustang etc etc and plenty of inane banter that even older members are never going to get. This may be why maybe some of the members feel left out or annoyed because ‘banter’ (which is drivel to anyone who isn’t in that social group) diverts thread after thread. If the new forum wants to preserve that atmosphere then best of luck to them, there are some nice people on Planetalk (a forum which given time will probably have its ups and downs just like this place) and some nice people on here. It just seems that this whole escapade has brought out the worst in people. I recommend that some people need a couple of weeks away from this place to see the bigger picture.

    Best Regards, Steve

    I’m absolutley dieing to know.
Who are the personalities you know there?

why fuel the fire when there are other threads much more deserving of attention?

    deary me, what a lark.

    🙂
