Aeromexico and Alaska both fly to Mexico from SAN, and that’s about it. Apparantly, BA pulled out of there recently. They had been flying there for a while.

I think the best way of advertising your website, is the way Peter does it. Just leave it at the bottom of your signature, and that’s it. Don’t tell people to go there, or mention when it’s updated. If people want to go take a look, they will. You’ve never heard Peter once mention his pics, yet I’m sure people click on his links all the time to take a look. I for one could care less about number of posts, or user ratings, or any of that nonsense. I come in here to talk about aviation, look at member’s photos, learn something new, and perhaps provide some feedback once in a great while. I’ve had the tendency to disappear in the past for no good reason. Sometimes, I just get sick of the forum. I’ll be in the basement for 3 or 4 months, then come back strong. Maybe the MIA members are just doing that.

Ichi, you’re going to have to give me directions on where to go for pics/spotting at SAN. I’ve been meaning to get down there and have a look. I’ve lived in SoCal all my live but I’ve not spent too much time in the San Diego area.

LGB isn’t much for spotting, Steve. Not too many airliner movements out of there, even though with the recent Jetblue phenomena, those have dramatically increased as of late.

The 3 states I mentioned stay with the same time all year around. I have no idea why they never change. Perhaps Arizona and Hawaii don’t change because they typically have great weather all year around so they like to maximize sunlight by never going off daylight savings. Indiana, however, doesn’t have similar weather patterns to the aforementioned states, so I don’t know.

The U.S. (except Hawaii, Arizona, and Indiana) all goes +1 hour effective next week. The Southern Hemisphere goes -1 hour, but they might have done so this last weekend.

It is clearly the best avatar, in my opinion. A far cry from his previous one (Jacko) which was by far the worst!

Is that Green Braniff A380 the plastic 1/200 scale model?

Yeah, I was actually thinking about Saab 2000 when I was reading Bhoy’s flight report as he reported his flight on a Saab 2000. Another guy who’s been MIA is Monster500. Anyone know what happened to that guy?

I’ve been several times, and yes it is! Even better when you have Peter take you to all the spots.

You can use digital cameras during takeoff and landing, I believe. Matt, congrats on your team advancing. I fancy Barca, amongst others, so sucks for me. 😡 Great report, by the way. Much easier reading a very interactive one such as that with pics along the way.

Actually, I’ve been meaning to update you guys on that, as well. Turns out I chose AMS as my ‘gateway.’ I got roundtrip business class airfare from ONT-AMS using my mileage. I’ll be flying a combination of TED, United, and Singapore flights. Today I’m going to finalize the AMS-ATH portion through my travel agent. I looked into Virgin Express and was pleased at how cheap that price was, but I really prefered to fly through Amsterdam. He found Olympic Airways rountrip for 365Euro which is a little over $500US. KLM was about $100 more, and Lufthansa is a few hundred more than that. Knowing me, I’m probably going to wind up paying the extra amount just so I don’t sacrifice 2,000 miles. At the end of the year, when I have around 48,000, and need to get to 50,000, I’ll be glad I did.

They would have had to wear a modified version of the livery shown, anyway, much the same way they wore a modified version of the Landor scheme.

I was aware of the LHR flights. Do they still use -200 series 767’s for this route?
