So that means planes will still be painted in KLM colours, and not all in Air France colours, right?

Greekdude, the remark was made tongue in cheek
I know Steve, it’s all good. I knew you were joking around which is why I made my comment. I am also well aware of the population of Greeks in Melbourne, 2nd largest ‘Greek’ city behind Athens, I’ve been told. I have friends in Dandenong and Geelong.
Seems pretty farfetched, but they do have a website. You’d think maybe second-hand classic jumbo’s, but no! 744’s from SQ which are more than likely relatively young aircraft.
Was that long journey made just to get some photos, Peter?
Damn Greeks. You got enough of them down there in Melbourne, Steve?
Nice Ren. I approve of those palm trees.
You guys are killin’ me. It’s, “Joey, you ever hang around a gymnasium?” and “Joey, you like movies about Gladiators?” There are 2 others, but I will refrain from posting them at this time.
Excellent work, Tony! Love those approach shots of SQ 744 and ANA744. I especially like the way the UA 744 is lit with the sunset. Great to see UA 744’s in LHR again, eh boys? How many flights do JAL operate into LHR to be sending 777’s in there?
P.S. How do you get multiple pics on a single post? I haven’t quite figured that out yet.
This is a no brainer for Boeing. Are you telling me that loyal 747 customers wouldn’t go for this? Of course they would. Take the basic design, introduce more composites, stretch the fuselage and the upper deck, make an all new wing, add fly by wire, re-do the interior and use A380/777 type engines. Yep, that’ll do it.
My mrs. either gets left behind, or comes along and finds something to do. At SXM, this was not a problem as she just sat on the beach and got some sun.
I would have been more than happy to have a discussion with him after the flight, and tell him what a bible-thumping idiot he was.
There’s a ‘smoking area’ where you actually exit the inside of the terminal and go to a platform that is enclosed by plexiglass. That is a great place for spotting. When I was there 2 years ago, they were expanding this area. I’m sure there is a great area outside the airport for viewing/photography, and with 5 hours, you’d have ample time to have a look. Customs and Immigration at Changi gets done very quickly, so you’d be on your way. I would email a few of the photographers on A.net that take pics at Changi regularly, and ask them about spots around the perimeter of the airport.

Well, at least we can say that they are both made of plastic!
NICE!!
I agree that one experience does not a bad airline make. However, if you are inconvenienced, you have the right to express your displeasure. As much as I love UA and the Star alliance, they have inconvenienced me in the past several times, and they have heard about it. I simply write a very professional email expressing my displeasure, but at the same time pledging my continued loyalty to UA and Star and also express my faith that my inconvenience will be alleviated by a voucher or something. It has worked wonders in the past.

Regardless of the circumstances, Jacko is a freak, and needs to be locked up and kept away from children.
