How does the fuselage length of the A345 compare with the A343? Also, how does the wingspan of the A345/6 compare with the wingspan of the A342/3?
I think the DXB stop is a viable option, and they could look at converting some existing A346 orders to the A345. That would be a LONG flight from DXB to either SYD or MEL, 16+ hours perhaps? I was aware that Virgin Blue wasn’t entirely owned by the Virgin group, but I wasn’t sure what the %’s were.
Michael, I think they cut off the circle of Stars the same way the new JAL colour scheme has the partial red circle on their tail. Supposed to look fashionable, I would think.
Even flights between ONT and LAX, which only take 10-12 minutes, have a flight time listing of around 35 minutes. I would think it is to compensate for ground time, taxiing, etc.
If they can’t routing via HKG, then why not SIN or BKK like everybody else? Or perhaps, KUL or Vietnam even.
The titles did read “Air UK Leisure, ” this I know for a fact. I’ve never even heard of “Unijet.”
Oh, ok, sorry about that! That’s gotta’ be a great thing to major in! I would actually even study. How far is Cranfield from London?
Adrian, LOL, that is too funny. I was typing out my last post as you were typing out yours! Thanks mate!
I asked this question some time ago, but I don’t recall if it ever got answered. When I flew to Jamaica back in ’97, parked next to us was an “Air UK Leisure” 763. Obviously a charter, who did they belong to, and with which huge charter company do they belong to now?
Sorry, I was not aware of the colourblindness. The top part is actually grey.
I’ve only been to one, LHR, but I enjoy my experiences there. Viewing really sucks from T2, unless you’re up top in the LH lounge, where it is superb. Shopping is amazing, especially the selection of Scotch. Viewing is a little better in T3. I’ll be flying out of T1 this time around, so I’ll see how that goes, not to mention BMi’s lounge.
Cypriot Aetos, I just read that loooong post, and I’m very impressed! I actually briefly knew a Cypriot living in the L.A. area that was studying Airport management at Cal St. L.A. So you’re basically telling me that a ‘snot-nosed’ 15 year old kid has no business even thinking about starting an airline (I’m 29, by the way), RUBBISH!! 😉
Pan Am, TWA, United, and Delta at some point, all had a mini-hub, if you will, based in FRA. I know Delta acquired it from Pan Am when they puchased their Euro routes and some aircraft, and UA might have gotten theirs from TWA, but I’m not sure about this. Delta operated theirs up until the early to mid 90’s (my dad used to connect in FRA from LAX-ATH on Delta all the time) when they finally pulled out of there and concentrated all of their Euro routes mostly out of JFK, but also out of ATL.
I refuse to blame alcohol or cigarettes (or lack thereof) on Air rage. People who engage in that are just morons who are unproductive members of society, and should be dealt with accordingly.
I seriously doubt it. Otherwise, how would Branson have been allowed to start up Virgin Blue?
