The United colours aren’t Green, Mark.
Good, it’s about time they woke up. Whether or not they follow through with this, remains to be seen.
Vancouver, not Montreal, gotcha! I knew it was some place in Canada.
47 pax? OUCH!
That is nice. Now if only TG had the same rights.
They would be foolish not to start up for the Northern Hemisphere season, them and OA. All those Greeks can’t all jam into SQ if they want to go 1-stop!
Indeed it is, Monster. So I’m assuming Lauda no longer flies down there, then? Also, did TG discontinue thier BKK-ATH segment, like you mentioned earlier?
Wasn’t aware of the Thai situation. I also meant to say, Eastern Australia, where the biggest population is, which pretty much leaves SQ, until EK gets the A345.
Correct, they are no different internally, nor do I expect them to be. Just like I’m sure Wunala and Nalanji dreaming were probably no different than any other jumbo in QF’s fleet. I just wanted to be able to fly on that one, that’s all. Just so I could say, “Hey, I flew on the 1000th Jumbo.” Or, “hey, I flew on Wunala or Nalanji dreaming.” And if I flew on Tokyo Disney, I could care less about all the niknaks they give away inside, I’d be excited just about the color scheme. Means quite a bit to me.
And I didn’t even notice the nosewheel lights!
I don’t consider either of those “Pan American.”
Congrats Andrew, perfect timing I must say!
Doesn’t look weird to me! I fly on United Express all the time! Mostly on EMB-120’s but also on the aforementioned J41 as well as the J31 and the Beech1900D. I can’t forget about the CRJ either.
Michael, I’ve flown KLM on 2 different occassions, LAX-AMS-ATH. Mind you, these were back in ’89 and ’91, respectively, so that was a while ago. The service was good, comparable to a TWA, Lufthansa or United (don’t recall if the food was as good as United’s). Nowadays, I would definitely favor Thai over KLM, mainly because of my loyalty to the Star alliance. Back then, I had no choice!
Tenthije, I’ll be in Amsterdam from the 21st till the 24th of this month. My hotel is only 2 stops away from AMS, and I’ll be down for doing some viewing from the deck, especially if it’s landside.
