I think WinAir (Windward Island Airways) flies there from SXM. If it is ‘closed’ are there customs officials on duty for those ‘special permit’ flights that do operate into there?
Does Air Caraibes have a deal with someone that operates that A330 for them, similarly to the way Air Holland operated that 767 for Air Curacao?
Well DUUH, this happens all the time, I’m sure many accidents in Russia aren’t published.
Jeanske, you show some real promise sometimes by contributing valuable info and good insight. Too many times in the past, however, you just put your foot in your mouth. You really need to think about what you say sometimes.
I love that Snowflake livery despite it being quite basic!
I agree! Nice pics Grey Area. Keep those Ringway (now I know where that is) photos coming. Nice variety.
Out of all the airlines I’ve flown, digital camera’s are never included in the “please turn off electronic devices the first and last 10 minutes of flight” equipment. Gameboys, palm pilots, laptops, CD players, cell phones, walkmans, etc. is what needs to be turned off.
Different airlines have different rules, however. UA allows you to use your cell until the doors close prior to the flight, and as soon as the plane touches down afterwards. When I flew Virgin Blue, however, at no point while you were inside the airplane was cell phone usage allowed. About 2 years ago, my girlfriend at the time (now my wife) sent her brother a text message telling him what time we landed, and one of the hostesses busted out with, “please turn that off NOW!” I was very shocked.
Anybody know how many 744’s are on the ground at Heathrow at any time
How about SIN, HKG, or even NRT, for that matter?
Personally I think that is a silly idea, the A380 is a huge aircraft and doing it the way you said is not very economical plus not to mention the amount of time it would take,
They are going to have to pass through 2 jetways either way, Dartie. How is walking through 1 jetway and down 1 stairs into a bus any more timeconsuming then walking out of 1 or 2 jetways?
plus i dont think VS want to spend money on parking in and getting passengers and their luggage plus cargo being moved to the terminal!
Uh, ok. So basically, every airline that serves Bradley (about 90% of the International airlines serving LAX at that) that has to park in the remote terminal when the 13 main gates are full, want to spend this money you’re referring to, but Virgin doesn’t? That is what you are leading me to believe here.
By the way Pablo, welcome to the forum. Four posts so far and all very informative.
Why would Dwight York want to go play for a Scottish Div. 1 squad? No offense to those who are fans of any of those teams, but I know Alan Smith is desparate to find a team since Leeds got relegated and 2 Man U. deals recently fell through.
Do they not use Bangkok as well?
They do, but not as much as SIN. Not unlike BA, 1 of QF’s 2 SYD-LHR flights is via BKK. As far as I know, the rest of their Euro-action is via SIN, however.
in fact Air France is planning to send one their A380 to Beirut in 2007/2008.
Do their current load factors justify this? What do they send now? The layout of BEY looks pretty impressive.
Doesn’t Nicklas Anelka alienate everybody where-ever he goes, as well? Isn’t Raith Rovers a Scotish Div. 1 team?
you can just see it to the extreme right of the Icelandair shot.
That is a pristine location!
Dwight York for Raith Rovers ? That Anelka fellow must have more clout than people round here are suggesting ? 😀
Isn’t Anelka on Man City? Where would he come into play in this transaction?
I might agree w/ Peter. Look at the cheatline at the nose in both of the photos. Also, look at the cowlings.
US from Philly, AA from Chicago and Continental from Newark.
Well, that makes sense for all the flights to be delayed. The same mess they are having with the weather in Chicago must be on the Northeastern seaboard, as well. Earlier I asked if the UA flight was delayed, I meant the AA flight. 😮 UA don’t fly into GLA.
