I’ve had some pretty bad experiences with a few airlines. As much as I fly, that is to be expected once in a while. Almost every single time I’ve flown with America’s Worst, errrrrr, America West, I’ve had something go wrong. But if I turn around and say that I’ll never fly them again, I’d be lying. In the right situation, I just may wind up flying them again, although I prefer not to.
I was given a dose of valium prior to a medical procedure. Let’s just say it was very niiiiiiiiiiiiiice! I wanted to take some home. 😀
Still operating at a loss, but getting better. I see light at the end of the tunnel, a very long tunnel at that!
What routes will these fly? Hand or anyone else have an idea?
WOW 😮
true…..there most load will come from HK not HCM. I dont think HCM has enough passengers who could afford to goto USA yet.
However there are loads of Vietnamese in the U.S. that can afford to go to Vietnam!
Since UA and BA use the same terminal, I always get a good look at what BA has to offer at JFK. I sometimes see 2-3 BA 767’s on the ground there at any given time. All they all MAN bound?
It appears that Ren has amassed more than just a Few votes. :p
Still flying Delta?
Those L1011’s sure aren’t. 🙁
Because UA being in the condition it is at the moment cant afford tot take such big risks.
Yes, UA is in financial trouble at the moment, but they are making headway. I don’t think this would classify as a big risk, Kabir. The reason I say this is because United usually has very strong load factors on all of their Asian routes, which is why they were hit so hard by SARS. They depend very heavily on these routes. Suffice it to say that it may be these very routes along with their LHR slots that are keeping them afloat at the moment. Besides, it’s not like they are going to fly there non-stop from, say SFO or ORD, or something. It’s just a continuation flight, in which 2 or 3 HKG flights will be able to feed the one flight from HKG to HCM. I just don’t see these factors as being high risk. Tell me “UA is beginning daily non-stop service into HCM from SFO, LAX and ORD” and then I’d say it would be very high risk.
I’ll be culturally biased and say ATH-(insert any large European city here). 😉
Why do EK use the A345 into LGW? surely they don’t need the range for that flight.
Monarch BMI or even easyJet lol
Bmi is fine, Monarch is pushing it a bit, but Easyjet? Let’s not get carried away now….
I’m not familiar with this incident. What happened to him?
Even more special as the -300s are soon to be retired, last revenue flight at the end of the week I think??
Speaking of -300’s, is TG going to keep theirs for a while? Seems like they augment 744’s on some pretty decent sectors, for instance, BKK-SYD-AKL and back switch off every day between a 744 and a 743. I was checking the Star Alliance website and for the next month, BKK-ATH, which is thrice weekly, will be a 743, until it is switched to a 744. Most recently, it was an MD11 and has been a 773 in the past. The beauty of TG is that they use a variety of aircraft on certain routes. I would like to get a ride on one of thier 743’s and MD-11’s before they are retired.
