Congrats, Sir Allen. I’ve never seen that airline on the cover of ‘Soviet Airliners,’ but that is a nice colour scheme and a great picture. Whenever you get that DVD out, count me in.

I live a stone’s throw from Palm Springs, Skycruiser. If I was any good at golf (I own a set of clubs), I would take advantage of my Uncle’s country club membership out there, and shoot a round or two with him occassionally.

Oops, I forgot about SFO! I just checked the timetable, Bhoy is spot on with this information, with one addition. The DEN-HNL flight is operated by a 777 on Saturday and Sunday. M-F it’s a 763. Also, on the current timetable, LAX is not served by a 777, which I had indicated. I stand corrected by Bhoy, as at least 1 of the many daily DEN-LAX flights is tyically 777 operated. I also might add that currently, UA has no 744 flights out of DEN. Usually they would have a daily DEN-LAX or DEN-ORD operated by a 744.

Not sure, but I know one of the last few 777 pics in that new livery had that flag, that looks horribly out of place, in my opinion. The rest of it isn’t bad, but Nasir surely had some nicer designs.

I didn’t call you an idiot, Skylinerworld, I said you were acting like one. There’s a huge difference, one you apparantly can’t tell the difference between. By that token, I’ll explain it to you. If one is an idiot, they are just that, period. If one is acting like an idiot, they can stop acting and be a normal human being. I gave you the benefit of the doubt of being the latter, but once again, you didn’t listen, and just fired back.

You know what guys, we’ve tried to be nice to the lad and correct him, but he doesn’t want to listen. We tell him something, and he comes back with some lame comment. Eventually he’ll realize that he’s acting like an idiot and just must wise up.

It’s not about being ‘nice and honest.’ It’s about not being stupid, or posting just for the sake of doing so. For example, “I’m trying to be nice and honest recently anybody noticed…” This is a post just for the sake of doing so. Trust me, if people stop acting dumb, WE WILL NOTICE!

LAX, ORD, and IAD for sure. If there are a few others, I’ll post them shortly.

WD, where do you fly to Palm Springs and Bakersfield from?

Great pics WD. Nice job of taking up lots of bandwidth again! 😀 Is DEN as far west as you get? Get some more pics of Montreal next time you’re up there. I always enjoy the variety of YUL.

There is an upgrade kit available for the -300/400/500 engines that makes them more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly. I believe Southwest is fitting all their ‘classics’ with these kits. They don’t actually replace the entire engine with the ‘new’ engines, however. Winglets are available for the classics, that’s for sure.

Apparently the flight crew hit TOGA just before touchdown.

What does TOGA mean? Also, was this recent?

Typical airline passenger will bitch about almost anything. It really annoys me sometimes. Especially when the people at the butt-end of of the matter, have absolutely no control of the situation. People have no idea how to channel their frustration. Rather than go ballistic at the customer service rep or the flight attendant, they need to go to the airlines’ website and send a very professional, yet firm email. I used to do this, and get vouchers and whatnot as a result.
