Point in question. If we had so much speed advantage -which surprises me anyway, having climbed to intercept – why the hell did we not just knock it down there & then? And then we let the other ones go??
A very provocative continental writer has quoted that we behaved like ballerinas. Looking back on it, that is rather close to the bone.
Even after being bombed on take-off, there was not the killer instinct to get stuck in.
