India has what is called the courtesy culture. It basically means people will tell you what they think you want to hear instead of the real news you may not want to hear. So basically if you’re not polite enough to give them that courtesy, it’s seen as an intentional insult.

Sorry sounds stereotypical. You can spin anything to sound logical. For one thing you argue China did this to garner attention which is part of their method of operation? Well it can also be argued that they always want to keep low as much as possible so they wouldn’t do this to get attention. I see plenty of other ways and other times seeking attention would be more effective. So did the Chinese calculate that none of the US crew would be killed? If any were, the situation would’ve been more different. Such precision and confidence goes in contrary to the stereotype of the ineptness of the Chinese in all things that the majority would prefer to believe. Ironic when the West’s enemys are diabolical, they are capable and strong and can do anything they set their minds to only to be stopped if the “good guys” take action, but every other time the West laughs at the inferiority of their adversaries.
