According to RAF Bomber Command Losses of WW2 1941 by Chorley
Whitley V Z6478 of 10 Sqn (Leeming) coded ZA-S was shot down by nightfighter and crashed in Holland on the night of Sat 6/Sun 7 Sept 1941 on an Operation to Huls with the loss of all crew.
I checked another 3 references and all have Z6478 with 10 Sqn.
On the same night 10 Sqn lost Z6942 ZA-? with the crew all taken POW but no details on where the aircraft ended up or how the crew become POW
No 58 Sqn machines were lost that night!
However, 58 Sqn (Linton-On-Ouse) had 2 losses the following night (Sun 7/Mon 8) on Operation to Berlin, but none were coded GE-D.
