Welcome Alan, recognise this mosaic? I found in a sunken roundabout garden right in the centre of your home town while I was visiting.
It struck me that perhaps few people have ever seen it, even thought it is right in the centre of a big city!

Re your posts 236 and 240, “666”, only one person made the same assumption as yourself that this was the shadow of an elbow. Not being Her Majesty the Queen, I do not refer to myself as “we”, and if you presume that everyone else reading this thread agree that it is in fact an elbow shadow, you are making a mighty big assumption. As Don says, and it was an early thought of mine on first seeing the #236 photo, what is its reference and what description did NASA offer for it?
PS Moggy, please let this run for a while, at least DonClark’s remarks are extremely educational!

How do you know it’s the photographer’s elbow? It might be that of the other astronaut, or not even an elbow at all!

As far as I know, there never was an RS.2, but then again my library is rather limited!
A 2 second search on this Forum turned up my old posts:

So a journalist thinks that a “wake vortex” is a “weight vortex” – makes me wonder about the accuracy of the rest of the report!
I’ve just remembered what it reminds me of – the Ripley’s “Believe it or not” building at Niagara Falls! (Which I wish now that I had photographed)
The half-collapsed building in the background seems to have been hit by a tornado! Don’t tell me this is Cosford’s latest masterpiece!
