I bet if the people that have made this paint job happen read the forum they will wonder why they bother putting in the effort with some of the negative comments been made here.
Perhaps a couple of season of standard schemes will sharpen people’s minds somewhat :p
I agree speedy the old red, white & grey colours did always look smashing.
The Hawk 2010 dispay scheme for those that are interested

If you read the skippers comments when they first acquired the former Earth Race vessel maybe this accident isn’t such a surprise after all.

What dealer has acquired these aircraft. Are we allowed to say?
Try this www.
From reading comments from RAF personnel I think a new build Canberra PR9 wouldnt go amiss.
I take it you want to come along and point and laught or something? Well heres the eta’s.
While you all sitting tearing this idea to shreds try to remember that this has been thought of and organised by club members, these people are just ordinary average people who have little or no experiance of this sort of thing. And while im no illusion that this little event will save 558 i would rather be associated with the folk that tried and gave thier all than those that pour scorn on every thing they do. At least they have actually got off thier arses and made an attempt instead of spouting crap and so called expert opinions.
Have a nice day.
Im not “tearing any idea to shreds”. I was just commenting that although I wouldnt personally want to contribute it does seem that the marketing of this event is somewhat flawed by not mentioning times.
Bubbles you could say that my post although clearly rattling your cage has made the fund raiser more known to the public as my question has got the times posted
Not that I would wish to give any money to the ailing project but why no mention of eta’s that they will be at each of the UK’s Vulcans. Surely a rather important detail if they are only having 15mins at each site.
How much and also how easily would you be able to export a complete MIG-21 into the country?
Surly it would be an expensive proposition and also a big paperwork excercise?
Bring back Moose.
Or Missy Wong From Hong Kong :p
Whirlwind (Not the helicopter variant)
Personally I think the limits of replication were reached with the Me262. So far all replicas have been:
– Popular.
– Somewhat sexy. (Is an F3F sexy?, maybe to it’s mother?)
– Smaller size.
– Generally single seaters (light observation replica would have multiple seats). So for WWII aircraft the obvious candidates seem to have been done.
Wouldn’t it be great to see replicas of Beaufighters or Hornets though!
Spiteful or Seafang wouldnt be to hard to reproduce in this day and age would it?
Does anyone know if enough drawings survive to make it reality?
If she is grounded does anyone know whether she will be mothballed at Brunty or will they do as they said they would at the end of her flying carear (which was an estimated 10-15 years time) and place her in a museum,, IIRC correctly Duxford was mentioned at the time.
See here.
Why do people love the F8 so much? I much prefer the earlier shaped rear fin/tailplane.
