Isn’t the problem more along the lines that as the world moves on while taking note of the problems and slowly trying to fix them no matter what the subject matter is they are running out of things to aid there cause and are choosing softer targets to try and get their points across, IMHO all these protest groups move from one cause to the next when they either succeed or hit a brick wall with their current protest.
Ask yourself this if all their causes where met in full what would they do ? They are just like armed rebels when the fighting is over what do they do now they have no fight but still have the arms ?

It’s not his actions but the defending of his actions that get under my skin, watch the video in the DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU thread on this section of the forum that could easily have happened to moggy while he was speeding or anybody else for that matter no matter who speeds you cannot defend against it unless an emergency was occurring.
So because nobody was around it was o.k. then ? Well in that case how extreme can you take the law ? Well there was nobody around so I shot the ******** ?? Why are you getting personal Moggy ? You are the one who stated your history about getting off a speeding ban by having a barrister and IMHO would say you are only trying to persuade yourself that what you did was a good thing, you got court speeding nothing more nothing less.
Your use of a barrister was a means of effectively of using your workforce as mitigating circumstances for your own actions, I do wonder though had the tables been turned and it was one of your workforce that had been in the same position would you have the same frame of mind.
I agree my opinion counts for nothing, there is no need to start being personal because I counter your argument for a positive spin on what should have
been an straight forward guilty plea without need for a barrister and that is what this thread was concerned about people affording barristers just to evade a harsher punishment.

I agree a very sad happening but this is what can happen when speeding in a car or as in this case a bike, the bike rider 97m.ph.?? In what universe is it safe to be doing that sort of speed when there is other traffic around and on an A Rd, I am sorry but even as a bike rider myself my sympathy goes out to the car driver as he would just not have the reaction time considering the bike speed to avert an accident.
I have looked at the beginning of the video a few times the bike rider has broken the law on three separate instances before the accident, 1st – Speeding 97m.p.h.,2nd – He crossed into the herringbones while illegally overtaking,3rd – Overtaking illegally approaching a junction.

Isn’t probable that Putin is having a knee jerk moment ? He does not want the Ukraine aligned with NATO any more than NATO want’s Ukraine to come under the Russians influence again. Russia gave the Ukraine it’s independence surely it’s up to those in charge within Ukraine who they align with isn’t it ? Russia quite rightly saw the placing of an anti missile system much like the USA saw the Russian basing nukes in Cuba as an insult they had every right to kick up a stink, the Ukraine situation is very different gone are the days when the Russians did what they want by simply ploughing all their forces in and taking over the governments this is a stealth invasion no matter how you look at it.
If the eastern Ukraine people who more than likely are predominantly of Russian ethnicity with all the customs and language that are inherent with Putin’s claim surely they should have been given the chance to move to Russian territory when the Ukraine was given independence ? If these people accepted Ukrainian rule then why has all this trouble erupted now with Mt Putin fanning the flames ? Clearly he has had boots on the ground from the beginning in ever increasing numbers and lets be honest the only reason the rebels are on the winning side again is simply through Russian assistance.
Nothing was done when MH317 was brought down the world failed those victims miserably! weather it was by the Russians or the Rebels nobody has even bothered to prove categorically, to my mind this is simply because the evidence was so overwhelming against the Rebels and that was part of the problem for the Russians continued support as they had now backed them with this public display of aggression against civilians it was impossible for them to tell the rebels we wash our hands of you and let the Ukraine forces just wipe the floor with them.
To the point now they are obviously at an impasse of what they do next and why I would suggest they are so desperate for a ceasefire to be put in effect before the whole situation spirals even further out of there control, the rebels are like mad dogs uncontrollable as they answer only to themselves and would just stick two fingers up to Moscow if Russia tried to reign them back in again. I suspect too that Mr Putin has pushed as far as he dared without provoking any military intervention from the west having said that the west is now apparently holding joint exercises in the Ukraine by coincidence ?
Personally I think there is a bigger picture but there are to many variables to put a finger on it Energy ?/NATO Expansion ?/Russian Expansion ?/ Globalists ?/ Financial Downfall ? who knows the truth ? the bottom line is the world could be teetering on the brink of WW3 if this madness is not stopped.

You may have some validation to joining the armed forces but as to which branch I would think you would have to have an interest as all the reasons you state can be achieved from all branches.

The £75’000 is what the total fund required for the whole process of bidding and logistics for Black Mike as the link states I like you had made the mistake of not observing the 75K on the donation page, correct me if I am wrong somebody but if the RAF donate aircraft it usually a two way system ? The MOD are selling the aircraft to recoup some of their initial cost by either as per usual selling to highest bidder weather this be collector or scrap man.

You are of coarse quite correct they could donate but they are not in this case as has been mentioned already put out to tender as has been done so many times before.

I like yourself have no true Idea about the Phantom’s condition, but it must be in a pretty good condition or why would anybody bother making such a concerted effort into trying to save the aircraft ? As far as corrosion goes I do not and would not presume to know what will be done but I assume the campaigners already have such thoughts well in hand if their bid is successful, again all the logistics Moving/Upkeep/Anti Corrosion Work etc.etc. will all be taken care of after much careful consideration just has been the same with the other Bruntingthorpe residents have had the same problems in their preservation.

My point of mentioning the Canadian Lancaster was again as an example, yes it’s a shame they have had an engine pop and yes all donations are put to
good use my reasoning still stands if we can afford to donate to an engine replacement then why not trying to preserve the Phantom ? I have donated to the engine replacement and will donate likewise to the Phantom fund but I was just disappointed as to the amount of donations when it has been made aware on this forum, not from our international forumites but from our home grown members as I assume you like myself if having enough to donate you would support a good cause no matter what or the size of the donation ? As far as mightn’t or mightn’t not happen that could be applied to anything.
