Hi All,
Triple Frontier 2019 (Via Netflix) I really enjoyed this action flick with a host of modern TV and Film stars acting well together that has the possibility of a sequel ? If you like this genre of film that has a decent storyline as well as action when needed then this for you…….
Starring:- Ben Affleck,Oscar Isaac,Charlie Hunnam,Garrett Hedlund,Pedro Pascal,Adria Arjona,Louis Rodriguez,Juan Camilo Castillo, Reynaldo Gallegos,Madeline Wary and Michael Benjamin Hernandez.
Former Special Forces operatives reunite to plan a heist in a sparsely populated multi-border zone of South America. For the first time in their prestigious careers, these unsung heroes undertake this dangerous mission for themselves instead of the country. But when events take an unexpected turn and threaten to spiral out of control, their skills, their loyalties, and their morals are pushed to a breaking point in an epic battle for survival.

Hi All,
Agent K – I admit I probably came in on the back end of a news discussion about contributors to the growing fund for Notre Dame Cathedral but I could have sworn I heard the phrase EU contribution somewhere ? although I will admit I could be wrong.
Having said the above I have found this article from Reuters, the following quote from Mr Tusk makes me wonder if the EU will be raiding the coffers for a large amount for the rebuild ?
” You will also rebuild your cathedral. From Strasbourg, the French capitol of the European Union, I call on all 28 member states to take part in this task ” , I know that France could do it alone, but at stake here is something more than just material help. The burning of the Notre Dame cathedral has again made us aware that we are bound by something more important and more profound than treaties “
Along with UK and Italian voices seems to me that the EU will aid and pat themselves on the back or am I reading to much into this ?
Full article:- http://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-france-notredame-eu/europe-wounded-by-notre-dame-fire-eu-pledges-help-idUKKCN1RS0QM
Also I noted today that the EU is also trying to secure 25% of it’s total future budget for climate change according to the BBCi news.

Hi All,
Too Many Crooks 1959(Via Talking Pictures Channel/ SKY 328). Classic UK B&W comedy leading role for Terry Thomas’s in his usual roguish character, along with early roles for recognisable star’s of they’re own TV series and the famed Carry On films of yesteryear. If your into this particular genre you’ll like this and it’s still a good laugh in my book…..
Starring:- Terry-Thomas,George Cole,Brenda De Banzie,Bernard Bresslaw,Sidney James,Vera Day,Delphi Lawrence,John Le Mesurier,Sydney Tafler,Rosalie Ashley Nicholas Parsons,Terry Scott,Vilma Ann Leslie,Edie Martin,Tutte Lemkow,John Stuart,Joe Melia,Arthur Brough,Sam Kydd and Howard Pays.
Fingers (George Cole) and his gang of incompetent crooks try to rob the rich Bill Gordon (Terry-Thomas), but they come up empty-handed. Undeterred by the failure, Fingers plots to kidnap Gordon’s daughter and hold her for ransom. But they can’t even get that right, and instead they abduct Gordon’s wife, Lucy (Brenda De Banzie), by mistake. Shockingly enough, Gordon is happy to be rid of his spouse, and ignores the ransom demands, so Lucy works with the gang to plot revenge.

Hi All,
Amazing the amount of dosh pouring in for the rebuild of Notre Dame, yet here in the UK they are now floating the idea if you own your own home you have to pay a minimum of £30’000 towards you old age care irrespective if you have no savings at all, may be we can have a whist drive in aid of the NHS and the UK infrastructure that so desperately needs money. ? ? ?
In deed some peer is also floating the idea of a 1% increase to the N.I. contributions workers pay as to make up a short fall in the NHS. My question is who ever is in charge of the UK’s coffers why are they still employed ? I mean the millions given to countries who do not need it let alone to those who do need help, surely we should get our own house in order before donating these millions ?
Or are all these suggestions just part of the fear mongering that is going on surrounding Brexit ? ?

Hi All,
Canopener Al – It’s shame it will be his last Jaguar work as he mentioned when first starting the composition. I really like his work and have a number of his Remarques I do though think he has a couple of aircraft missing from his portfolio or rather what I think would make a great addition and they are his shepherding of an SR-71 and I think he would do a lovely B-52 maybe a B58 Hustler ?
I suppose though you could go on forever on what particular aircraft he would make a very good composition and I think that the majority these days are commissions ?
Anyway here is another update on this lovely piece of artwork courtesy of :- http://www.facebook.com/MikeRondot

The repairs to Indy the Spitfire have been progressing well inside the restoration hangar over the past couple of weeks. The team have made some real headway and hopefully it won’t be too long before Indy takes to the skies above Imperial War Museum Duxford once more!
The inner web repair is now complete which has enabled the undercarriage leg to be fitted into the bay. Now that the leg is back in place work can begin on fabricating the new… bay door, the new door is built from raw alloy shapes which are cut and shaped by the team down at Airframe Assemblies Ltd on the Isle of Wight.
The repairs to Frame.5 have also been completed and it has now been re-fitted to the front of the fuselage. The next task here is to begin building up the front end of the Spitfire ready for the installation of it’s freshly overhauled 27 litre V12 Merlin engine that’s currently being finished by the team at Eyetech Engineering Ltd.
Rib.1’s repairs are also making good progress with the bulk of the work on the rib itself now complete. After the repairs to the rib are finished, and it’s been re-fitted into the wing, our attention will begin to turn to putting Indy the Spitfire back together!
And there we have it, part.II is a wrap! We will now begin collecting images ready for the next instalment but until then, we hope you’ve all enjoyed the update!

Hi All,
A little update from Michaels new work via his Facebook page:- http://www.facebook.com/MikeRondot ….:eagerness:
Jaguar Bounced SAP painting.
This might have looked alright at first glance but it needed a lot of work to correct the errors in the drawing, and after a whole day in the studio it still needs a lot of work.
Among other things…. The curve of the leading edge was wrong but has now been corrected. The leading edge slat has not yet been painted….
The shape and angle of the chisel nose was way out but the probe was correct so I had something to use as a guide.
The roundel is always difficult and very small changes make a big difference.
The cockpit and windscreen are receiving treatment now but I have to leave it to dry off a little or it will all get very muddy and have to be scraped off.
Here are some images that show the progression from “that looks about right” to “that is almost right”. It is all about looking hard and carefully at the real aircraft and trusting your judgement..
Geoff.
Hi All,
RIP Sir you and your comrades will live on in spirit for ever more.

Hi All,

Hi All,
The Lost City Of Z 2016 (Via BBCi) Enjoyed this little publicised biopic film an historical drama based on the book of the same name by David Grann, a little piece of UK history that is not very PC in todays climate…….:eagerness:
Starring:- Charlie Hunnam,Robert Pattinson,Edward Ashley,Sienna Miller,Tom Holland as Jack Fawcett,(Bobby Smalldridge as 7-year-old Jack/Tom Mulheron as young Jack Fawcett),Angus Macfadyen,Clive Francis,Ian McDiarmid,Franco Nero,Harry Melling,John Sackville,Adam Bellamy and Daniel Huttlestone.
At the dawn of the 20th century, British explorer Percy Fawcett journeys into the Amazon, where he discovers evidence of a previously unknown, advanced civilization that may have once inhabited the region. Despite being ridiculed by the scientific establishment, which views indigenous populations as savages, the determined Fawcett, supported by his devoted wife, son, and aide-de-camp, returns to his beloved jungle in an attempt to prove his case.

Hi All,
Bruce – That Iron Triangle is coming from a remainer so he is a bit biased in his assessment applying his projections, however in my mind he is correct IMPO I would sacrifice the schedule as the cost of divorcing from the EU is continually rising. I would rather have a good quality deal (If we are forced to have one) and to give as little to the EU as possible the scheduling would obviously be a sticking point but in the end we would get what was voted on just taking a little longer than was hoped for better than the mess we are in at the moment.
As for training the thousands more to replace thousands allegedly who will lose they’re jobs, that’s simple enough increase the wages and workplace treatment so to entice back those who left in their thousands in the first place. It’s the main reason the money grabbing overseers got themselves in to the pickle in the first place farming out jobs instead of training the next generation etc.etc.etc.

Jaguar Bounced SAP Painting.
The fin is critical to the technical accuracy of this painting; it is big and dominant and until the cockpit area is painted it is the first place the eye goes to, so it has to be correct. That is a lengthy process but eventually I will be happy with it. I am not allowed to comment on other people’s work but, there are a few recent paintings of an aircraft famous for the size of its fin that would have benefitted from a bit more study of what that fin actually looks like.

Hmmm… Just as I thought I was getting on, with few distractions in my relocated studio, this little chap reappeared and started nest-building in the camera box. It looks like it is the same blue tit from last year with a sleek head patch. The female’s head is more mottled but no sign of her yet. We have not had a TV in this house since March 2003, but this is addictive viewing.
