    Hi All,
One of the few, – The quote below from the 54Sqn wiki page:- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/No._54_Squadron_RAF

The Squadron was reformed at RAF Hornchurch on 15 January 1930 as a fighter squadron equipped initially with dual-control
Siskin Trainers until Bristol Bulldog fighters were received in April that year. The squadron had a brief stay at RAF Upavon in 1931, prior to
returning to RAF Hornchurch. The Bulldogs were replaced by Gloster Gauntlets, in September 1936 and Gladiators in April 1937, before the
Squadron’s first monoplane, the Supermarine Spitfire, arrived in March 1939.

If you need anymore info why not try here:- “A Supermarine-produced document held in the Cambridge University Vickers archives (MS541)”
this comes from this web site:-http://www.airhistory.org.uk/spitfire/home.html

Failing any of the above Mk12 (Peter aka Mr Spitfire) would be more ably suit to help you out I am certain…:eagerness:

    Hi All,
Bluebird Mike – You are quite correct:- Business Insider article http://uk.businessinsider.com/dunkirk-music-christopher-nolan-hans-zimmer-2017-7

Mr Nolans quote from above article:
“Very early on I sent Hans a recording that I made of a watch that I own, with a particularly insistent ticking, and we started to build
the track out of that sound. And then working from that sound, we built the music as we built the picture cut,” Nolan told Business Insider”

This is called the shepherd tone and ‘Hanz Zimmer’ has used it before for ‘Chris Nolan’ movies because he loves it….

    The shepherd tone explained.

    Hi All,
Tangmere1940 Such a sad loss of life a decent chap doing his bit in recovering lost airmen from their discovered resting places in many oceans.

Seems to be a related dive for missing airmen as both ‘Project Recover and Bentprop’ are doing this together, so you can only assume they know the
full background story of why he was diving on a particular wreck. Perhaps you have a better chance than most by contacting either group direct being
as you are in the business so to speak.

This from the ‘Project Recover’ facebook page:- https://www.facebook.com/pg/ProjRecover/about/?ref=page_internal

Their web page for contact details and anybody interested:-https://scripps.ucsd.edu/projects/projectrecover/

    Bentprop facebook:- https://www.facebook.com/pg/BentProp-Project-160394617986/about/?ref=page_internal

    Hi All,
    Jeepman,John Terrel,vultee35

Many thanks all for posting those videos my only nag was against those pesky ‘Harvard’s’ trying to get in on the act farting away what appears to be
underneath them ? 😀 Would that be the take-off’s for the next formation ? Would have been nice to see and hear both ‘B-29’s’ in a flyby together
in close formation, was the distance a safety thing anybody ?

I must say ‘JT’ your video sounded lovely and it was just perfect without the ‘Harvard’ engine noise, and the footage from inside ‘Doc’ was just lovely.

Again many thanks for posting well done all three…..:applause:

    Hi All,
God I hope no green party members view this forum else it’ll trigger them to have all passenger and other aircraft banned by 2040 as ‘GOVE’
announcing recently. There is only one big problem to going all electric whether it be ‘Aircraft or Cars’ I mean the green party are just not thinking
logically at all. If you want everything green with electricity then you need a massive amount of that electricity
(WHICH IS FINE IN A PERFECT WORLD) just to be able to meet demand, At the moment we just do not have the means of creating the amounts
of electricity ALLEGEDLY just by green measures themselves.

It appears the green party are not happy either with the government banning all petrol and diesel cars they want it but it isn’t enough as some
nice young women explained on Aunty, The greens keep widening the goal posts every time they achieve success.
Allegedly we do not have any other means apart from Nuclear/Coal/Oil and Gas power stations that will produce the amounts of electricity so
where is all this extra electricity going to come from ? Never mind the infrastructure to support everything as you can imagine it will cost trillions where
is the money coming from for that ?

Domestic cars are one thing but ‘Aircraft’ another I think being realistic it will be impossible until we are allowed to use free energy power stations
and that will never happen. The money men from the fossil fuel companies will not make any money they will never let it happen and what
about the residual effects on the world of doing what the green party want ? Increased unemployment when all the outsourced work to smaller
component companies thousands of jobs gone especially when all fossil fuel power stations have gone.

I suppose at the end of the day it’s a double edged sword! while most would accept electric whatever world wide you have to ask at what cost
to everyday life ? Where is the money for it all coming from ? Do the costs out-way any benefits like I said in a perfect world great idea but until
we have the means of making power for free it’s a just out of reach reality.

At his time I can only see it being implemented in small doses until that above day comes, I really do think that the human race is capable of so
many things and solving the electric power supply at a nominal cost is one of them. However there are those humans who would quite willingly
stand in the way of that progress for their own agenda instead of the benefit of mankind such as electric transport in this case ‘AIRCRAFT’.

    Hi All,
The only trouble with the community orders are:- These days the YOOF!! think they are a joke, many do not attend even if threatened with
imprisonment when they don’t. On top of that they see imprisonment as a badge of honour :stupid:

I know from personal experience about 20yr’s ago how some of these retards mind set works suffice to say he who threatened me with the words
‘I’ve been to prison you know’ expecting me to I don’t know what…:stupid: What hope is there for society when imprisonment is a joke with many
preferring it to the life outside, very sad…:apologetic:

    Hi All,
Overall then it seems for the most the audience has enjoyed the experience and can forgive any inaccuracies with the film which now makes me more
eager than ever want to see it on the small screen. As to the various comments in particular concerning inaccuracies and technical faults with various
shots that could have been improved well couldn’t all films have that said about them ?

I will add though some of the mentioned critique has a point and perhaps ‘Mr Nolan’ either ignored any advisors or never gave it a thought even after
    the film wrapped…?

Anyway we are all individuals and as such all have individual personal points of view and opinions about this film and many other things. I would say
to those who have seen the film well done for going out and supporting the cinemas and to those who have not watched the film never mind what some
on here have said go and make your own mind up you’ll either like it or not simple!…;)

For those of us interested in the facts of the filming here below is what wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunkirk_(2017_film) has to say regards the empty beaches at least:-

“Six thousand extras were used amidst the filming in France.[60][61] Avoiding the use of computer-generated imagery (CGI), cardboard
cut-out props of soldiers and military vehicles were employed to create the illusion of a large army.[59][60] Nolan investigated silent films
to influence crowd scenes with suspense using only details because of the minuscule presence of dialogue in the film”

Here is a video which I watched last night on the above subject an although the narrators uses the term lied I pay no attention knowing that the film
I will see I will judge upon viewing and it will not alter my eagerness to see the film one bit..;)

    Plenty view here:-

    Hi All,
It appears now that it is not only some ‘PC US’ critics are moaning a couple of articles here about ‘French’ historians who have viewed the film any
truth in their accusations anybody ?

Why can’t everybody just accept it for what it was at the time a great achievement of the time involving troops from the nations involved.

    Hi All,
TonyT – I watched the video below on the ‘Alex Jones’ channel (From 06:40 – 12:57) on this exact subject you could not make this
up, while he obviously referring later to the US I would also say’s over here as well, his quote “DIVERSITY FOR THE SAKE OF DIVERSITY”
hits the nail on the head IMHO……..stupid:

As far as those who have already watched I am glad you enjoyed the film and I look forward to watching it on the small screen but please don’t spoil
    the ending for us…..:D
