So buying aircraft is just based on assumptions of forecast’s is that what you mean and that is why the costs vary ? While I understand that the
manufacturer has an endless supply chain to think of for parts manufactured when costing, I just can’t help wonder why they would do as you
have stated the manufacturer would then have to pass on any increase to other purchasers outside of the three air arms that will receive them
in the USA wouldn’t they ? or is the pricing structure for other air arms different for each country ?
I would have thought that individual aircraft price would depend on the total overall order book ?
Hi All, Dog Eat Dog via (Sky Cinema) Don’t know what to say watchable just billed as a crime thriller but has some funny scenes in it also it’s a
weird film to watch darting from different styles of film either that or it was because I wasn’t on drugs like ‘William Defoes’ character you get a
basic outline of a story but it takes a while to get there also could be the reason it only took £1855.07 at the UK Box office. 😮
Definitely not one of ‘Nicolas Cages’ finer performances, none the less each to their own a good take your brain out and watch film….:D.

Hi All, Creaking Door – I personally think they should teach history both good and bad of whatever country/era from an early age, increasing the
thoroughness in stages year by year. I am not aware of current history teaching methods but I remember being taught all of it both good and bad.
It seems to me this method has been lost.
To me as most youngsters prefer mucking around on their phones/tv games etc. etc. and it’s left to the parents to fill in the gaps and they are either
not interested or haven’t the time either way it the kids who suffer with the lack of information who then grow up ignorant of their own history let alone
the country they live or dare I say world history.
The only trouble is that when your young you find subjects such as ‘History’ boring, so the obvious answer is to make it less boring, but doing that
you hit a massive wall funding I am sure that all schools would love to take pupils at whatever age to actual historic venues of all types and
teach but it’s all about results/school placing tables/budgets/H&S etc.etc.etc.
As far as fake history goes ‘Game Of Thrones’ is pure fantasy nothing else I would think you have to give the people who watch it the credit
to know this, unless they where never taught real ‘History’ and obviously think ‘Star Wars’ actually happened.

and cost the tax payer more. That’s just like going into a restaurant ordering a whatever ounce steak then being charged more because it’s well

I watched this video off youtube last night does it make sense that the price of the F-35 would rise per unit if they reduced the order number ?
Surely the cost would come down if the costs where already set ? Yet even if as alleged in the video the cost rose the USMarines still added an
extra 13 aircraft ??? Or is the video completely wrong ?
Here’s another:-Could it simply be that they are still buying this simply because of the money already pumped into it from start of it flight testing and
continued testing programme to service entry ?
I’ll throw this into the mix as an unlikely stupid question:- Could the Austrians possibly have ordered used 1st gen F-35’s at a vastly reduced cost
when Typhoon is phased out ? :rolleyes:

I agree with merlin70 & Wyvernfan on the moving to close to an active airfield to not expect any noise is the height of idiocy. Reminds me of articles
written a few years ago about people who move into the countryside then complain to the local council or threaten court action about farm machinery
and animals in particular dogs barking and cockerels doing their thing……:stupid::highly_amused:

What about sharing the cost or perhaps approaching the RAF offering to share the cost again say a three way split if they took the opportunity as a
transport exercise ? I am sure they would have more than enough MT Drivers and units going begging for it ?
AirportsEd – Well being as you have watched the film what is your verdict or do you not wish to spoil the surprise ? What surprised me was C.Nolan
saying it should be viewed as entertainment and not a documentary, unless it was for the benefit of the veterans or possibly that because so few big
budget WWll films are made these days it needed explaining to the attending audience :confused:
