there was talk about a PIA route about six months ago… haven’t heard of anything since…

and as for US Airways, they haven’t said where, although speculation is either Philadelphia or Charlotte. Their other Main hub on the East Coast is Pittsburgh, which I suppose would be an option, too…

That’s always assuming it goes ahead…

The 737 can go nostop, too… Air Berlin’s 737-700’s were delivered nonstop from Seattle to Berlin…

    yup, it’s a Kenyan company.

it replaced ASA’s previous DC-10 a couple of years ago.

yeah, the CN tower is quite unmistakeable, as the World’s tallest free standing building. (and the glass floor is, erm, interesting…).

Just to teh left of the tower, you can just about see the roof of the Skydome, where the Toronto BlueJays baseball team plays (it’s also the home of the Toronto Canadian Football team).

it is indeed a nice place.

G-BIKB, serial number 22173, was transferred to the Belgian register on the 1st of July this year.

So, yes, presumably it’s now with DHL.

Ren… I was wondering a while ago… ywenty years, you reckon since the 757 started the shuttle…

My first flight was BA GLA-LHR at Easter 85… it’s the only flight I’m not totally sure what aircraft it was… any ideas?

I’ve since travelled on 757s, 737-300/400’s, BAC 1-11’s and A319/320’s on the route. But that first flight is still bugging me as to what it was… :S

nah, I meant to… but just caught the last 10 minutes or so, so have no clue what they were talking about…

They just seemed to be questioing the original inquiry’s findings as to where the fire started.

Anyone see the rest who could fill me in?

    RE: Crossing the south pole?

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-11-02 AT 01:23 PM (GMT)]I don’t think so… it’s still faster to go transpacific from Oz to Argentina…

    Although…

Qantas do run sightseeing trips over the Antarctic, once a week during the summer. The South Pole even has a theoretical IATA code so it can be booked as a roundtrip through the reservations system… I just can’t remember it offhand… 🙁
