RE: Worst C/S
can’t say I’m particularly keen on any of the overly bright charter airline colour schemes.
I’d much rather see Caledonian colours than that horrible lime green stuff jmc has.
RE: Disappointment to say the least
Farnborough is roughly halfway on the train line from London (Waterloo) to Southampton (about 40 minutes to either). If you want to fly low cost, it’s probably easiest to fly easyjet to LGW, add change at Woking, Clapham or Guildford. There’s also a bus link from LHR to Woking, whence trains run to Farnborough. If you go to any of the low cost hubs (ie Luton or Stansted), you’d have to cross Central London, and, let’s face it, that’s way to much hastle.

It’s that Sock puppet, Professor Liebstrom off 2DTV that does it, I’m sure. 😉
LOL
RE: Sweets on take-off – a thing of the past?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 28-05-02 AT 07:53Â PM (GMT)]As far as I can remember- the last time I got a boiled sweet on a plane was a BA flight in 1987.
I’ve got Choclates off Crossair, Sabena and Swissair every flight I’ve taken with them, although Crossair latterly offered a choice of Chocolate or those Blackcurrant pastille things, although the trolley didn’t offer them round till descent.
Don’t recall being offered anything on BA flights since the 80’s or any flight I’ve undertaken with US Airways, United, British Midland or Air Frog, sorry, France.
RE: Air 2000 ‘holy’ flight!
‘without drawing anyone else’s attention to it’… As if a hole in the wing isn’t pretty obvious to anyone in a window seat…
RE: ITV’s ‘Airline’
I don’t thnk it’s because of the World cup. I might be wrong, but isn’t next weekend the jubillee celebrations with a bank holiday on Monday? Maybe they’re putting bank holiday films on all day or something.
The World Cup games on Monday will all be over by 2:30pm, shouldn’t affect programms at 8 (I suspect highlight shows will be either at 7 or at 9 ie right after or before the News bulletins).
RE: Which aircraft?
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-05-02 AT 12:02Â PM (GMT)]Thai fly to Denpasar/Bali (DPS) from Bangkok (BKK) using an A330 on the morning service, and an A300-600 on the Afternoon rotation.
RE: Airliner crash
it appears there may have been a major explosion on board, as ‘cable network TVBS showed footage of farmers in the western coastal county of Changhua, about 75 km (47 miles) from the crash site, holding up scraps of foam padding and inflight magazines bearing the airline’s logo.’, according to Reuters.
Seems to me very similar to TWA 800.
RE: Britannia Aiways aircraft naming
no, the Hugh Hefner’s Bunnyplane was registered in the US. (N950PB)
However, it was sold a while ago.

RE: Pic Of The Day-Soccer fever!
They crossing the Pacific in a 76?
Surprised they’re not using a MD11, like they did for France 98.
Assume they’re going via NZ or Oz?
RE: British European new livery-pic here!!!!
is it actually a new liverey, or just promoting the website?
RE: What Languages do you speak?
English, German, French, and ‘Swiss-german’…
RE: really nice BMI A320 pic
