It’s been said that the F100 was ten years ahead of it’s time, I don’t think the F28 is too big to be classed as an RJ… look at the 146-300/ARJ100, the CRJ700 or the Embraer 170/190’s.
The globespan website I quoted yesterday when I broke the news in the ‘quiet in here’ thread talks about 29 quid, isn’t the 14 quid excluding tax? 15 quid tax could be about about right…
gd, I don’t know when TG are due to receive their 345/346’s. They have 5 346’s on order, and 3 345’s. I don’t have any other info about the destinations they plan to use them to, the bit about the ZRH flights was in a News section about Zurich.
also, talking of new routes, Ren texted me to tell me this afternoon, and I’ve since looked it up a bit…

Thai will start operating A340-600’s on the BKK-ZRH route from June 16th next year, replacing the MD-11’s currently operating the route (although the trijets will continue to operate on alternate days on the route till July 15th)
funny you should mention it. I did look at it this morning. Not sure about it, though, if Gemini release a Swissair Coronado, I’d be more likely to go for that, as I’ve been on the one (HB-ICC) at the Transport Museum in Lucerne.

my latest arrival…

I agree with keeping the original spelling of place names such as Köln, München etc, but it’s not just the english language that is guilty of it, In Dutch, London becomes Londen and Paris becomes Parijs, in Spanish and French, London becomes Londres and Edinburgh becomes Edimburgo in Spanish – where did that ‘m’ come from!!??
And just to really confuse people, the Italian for ‘Munich’ is ‘Monaco’. Bejaysus.
(Monaco in Monte Carlo is ‘La Monaco’ in Italian)
I’m not Australian, but I can (I think).
There are two daily QF flights from Sydney to Brisbane that operate from Terminal 1 at Sydney (the International terminal). One of these flights continues from Brisbane on to LAX, the other continues on to Singapore. Because transit passengers don’t disembark at Brisbane, all pax embarking at Sydney have to complete immigration formalities. (There are 23 daily flights from Terminal 3 at Sydney to Brisbane which don’t require passports).
they even ran out of Pastis! (and no, none of our group was touching that ;))
as opposed to Air France who just run out of alcoholic drinks half way through a transatlantic flight just because there’s a Rugby Team on board. 🙁
what a lot of ********. The goal was rightly chopped off (you try doing your job as a goalkeeper with John Terry’s elbow in your throat).
However, I agree that Urs is generally a total farce, as conclusive evidence I give to you… that late penalty he gave to (as opposed to awarded ) Lyon in a certain Champions League game I may or may not have been at last season. Now, if only Stuart Dougal was taking notes for big games about when to chop off goals (hell, even Darren Young wasn’t claiming the goal after he shoved Davie in the Cup final.)
None of this has anything whatsoever to do with aviation, however, let’s stop going on about it.
He is carrying maps with the fastest route out of Wales. 😉
The Pinnochio method of lighting a fire and getting it to sneeze might be the best way? 😉
Swiss are to use a Privatair A319 for ZRH-EWR flights from the Winter timetable onwards.
Iberia seem to be the same as Swiss with regards to inflight Catering nowadays. 🙁
