The much vaunted easyjetville failed to materialise, with a solitary departure as I hiked over to that gorilla, and an arrival as Ren drove me back to Glasgow being the only movements.
I managed to shred two rolls of Film whilst attempting to wind them on 🙁 Although I did get one roll finished. Need to take it in for developing in Switzerland, though, don’t think I’ll have time to pick oy up on Wednesday if I take it in for overnight service tomorrow.
Anyway, nice to meet you guys.
dunno why, but once you allow for the ‘Y’, some aren’t to difficult to decipher…

YOW Ottawa
YWG Winnipeg
but seem to make no sense..

any chance of a lift through to Embra, Allen? ALthough I do have to stop off at my bank branch on Lothian Road at some stage on Monday… maybe a lift back would be better? (lemme know so I know whether to get a Scotrail saver return or just a single, eh? ;))
when the Celts, went up, to lift the Scottish Cup, I was there, I was there.
Why should folk on the east coast of Scotland have to pass
a perfectly capable airport in Edinburgh to travel to GLA
anyway.? When one looks at the situation sensibly it would
appear east Scotland is paying a surface travel premium to actually bankroll an economy to the detriment of their own.Use it or lose it? Donal Dowds is on record stating that using an airport gives the impression you like it.
Preaching to the converted?
Folk who are fearful of losing EDI through monopolistic
social engineering will use EDI no matter what… :p :p
While it’s certainly true the M8 has been dug up more often than the average potato field, why should the biggest population density have to travel through to embra when there’s a bigger and undoubetdly better airport here, just because it’s not so convenient for Hollyrood so MSPs can’t access their ‘factfinding’ trips to Mallorca so easily?
Anyway, there’s no fear of getting from Central Edinburgh to West Glasgow in an hour, it’s taken me that long to get from Easter Road to Corstorphine/the M8 before, thanks to the excellent traffic management system in embra .
My best friend is going to be on that 777!Shes LH CC@LHR,and shes been picked for that trip!Shes got a nice 04.45 check in tomorrow –its only a one way trip as they will come back to LHR by road from Cardiff.
why would BA be using Lufthansa cabin crew?
anyway, more importantly, for the real cup final tomoroow, how many 777’s will be flying dunfermline fans to from Embra/Leuchars to Glasgow? 😉
(sorry, I forgot, they have no fans as an 82 strong travelling support proved at Parkhead two weeks ago)
no problems, worth asking though… 😉
I’ll be at Hampden on Saturday. but looking forward to seeing you guys on Monday.
you didn’t happen to get a pic of me landing in G-EMBO around 12:35 and then taking off again in G-BRYZ half an hour later? The two bmi 330’s were still on the ground at the time, though not parked next to each other at the time.
Does Air Caraibes have a deal with someone that operates that A330 for them, similarly to the way Air Holland operated that 767 for Air Curacao?
No, Air Cariabes bought* two A330-200’s from Swiss last year while LX were downsizing their fleet.
*or maybe it was leased? well, acquired, anyway
I think in Europe (BA and Swissair are the ones I’d cite, as both have allowed me to make calls after delayed pushbacks were announced) the criteria for mobiles is that they have to be off from enging startup to shut down. Similar to, but not quite, UA.
No cargo orders yet?
Apart from the 10 FedEx ones, you mean?
what’s an RB511?
And surely that’d affect the 767 and 747 fleets, too?
woohoo!
Wasn’t until today I discovered a 767 and 777 were plying the BA shuttle routes. And you EDI guys think you’re getting bigger (lol) 😀
777’s on shuttle routes? 😮 what’s that in aid of? any chance of them operating the lunchtime shuttle to Heathrow next Wednesday? A319’s are nice, but a 777 to sample would be better. 😉
Are we supposed to be surprised that GOL have chosen CFMs?
