plus it’s all very well going on about smaller aircraft offering more flights a day at flexible times, but when the skies are as congested as they are anyway, and with takeoff slots near impossible to procure (in those countries that have them [are you listening, Boeing?]), then larger aircraft are almost a must.

No doubt the survey went on to conclude that although 90% of travellers would prefer a 250 seat single deck plane to a double deck 555 (oops, sorry, I meant 550. I wouldn’t want to mention any particular aircraft’s specs  ), 98% prefer a 450 seat one and a half deck aircraft to a 250 seat single decker… 😉

G-IGOH operated the STN-BSL flight on Monday, so I’d suspect she’s based at STN.

The CO GLA flight dosen’t operate on Thursdays during the Winter Season. if you try either February 9th or 11th, you’ll get £411.90

looked it up myself. It’s no longer a 73G on the EWR-LAX leg, CO now use a 757.

    £411.90 including taxes from GLA
    £415.90 including taxes from EDI

I always knew Edinburgh was more expensive than Glasgow… bloody tourist trap that it is 😉

duo were still in the figures for April, too… we’ll have to see what kind of a dent their bankruptcy makes to Turnhouse’s pax figures…

I’m not saying it’s anything other than scaremongering… I too used a digital Camera during takeoff/flight/landing on the BCN trip recently.

And as for Mobiles, airlines only started banning them 5 or 6 years ago, by which time they wouldn’t have been just luxury items, either.

Anyway, I’m a tim, I know nothing about Paranoia.

Except that Shug from Bonkle [Hugh Dallas] is out to get us… 😮

dunno about CO (Whisky Delta is the person to ask about that… he may even be in the flightdeck for the EWR-PIT flight), but LX and BA both have bans on CD players at all times while the engines are on. Laptops are permissible while the Fasten Seat Belt signs are off, but not with CD-ROM drives. Or at least, not with external CD-ROM drives.

Unsure about CD Walkmen, but DVD’s can’t be that bad if some airlines (LX, for example) use personal DVD players for the IFE in Business/First…

    I’ve flown on G-DOCR. Not too bad a flight, for a 737…

Air One used to be involved in the Qualiflyer group.

Does anyone know why the seats in the Fokker are ‘A’ and ‘C’ on the left, then ‘D’ and ‘F’? What happened to ‘B’ and ‘E’?

It’s just to make it easy. All narrowbodies have seats A and F as window seats, and C and D as aisle seats, with B and E being the middle seats, where applicable.

On the Swiss Saab and ERJ145 I was on last month, for example, the 1+2 config on both was A DF
