Swiss (or, for that matter, Swissair) never operated 747-400’s.

Swissair had 5 747-300’s during the 80’s and early 90’s (3 pax, 2 combis). But I think they were retired around 95 or 96.

FYI, Michael, I was parked up a couple of gates away from Royal Barge at ZRH on the 25th of March. Didn’t get a pic, though, there was an LX 330 and a 340 between us. 🙁

DOES NO ONE EVER LISTEN WHEN I SAY EZY ARE PULLING OUT OF ZURICH??? I’ve said it twice on here in the last two days, but apparently they’re STILL thinking of making it a base?:(

Sod this for a game of sojers.

I took photos during takeoff, landing and in flight going to Barcelona last month, I didn’t ask permission, but then, I wasn’t exactly being subtle about it, and the f/as didn’t tell me not to…

Come to think of it, I’m sure the cockpit door was open at one stage during the BCN-BSL leg on the Saab2000 (although I was too busy staring out the side windows to really register much about it).

Zurich sure as hell isn’t a base.

    Barcelona is, though, and Stansted.

yeah, pretty much, although not for long, as PIA are about to start linking GLA with Pakistan.

Other longhaul scheduled flights ex-GLA this summer…

    American GLA-ORD 763
    Air Canada GLA-YYZ 762
Continental GLA-EWR-LAX (change of plane at EWR) 764/738
    TCX/Canadian Affair GLA-various Canadian destinations 757
    US Airways GLA-PHL 762
    Zoom GLA-various Canadian destinations 763

I believe the PIA flight is to be an A310.

Easyjet suspended their LGW-ZRH services, as the slot prices for ZRH were too high for them. Plus the fact that ZRH is massively congested (there’s still a problem with overflying German territory on aproach), and teh fact that they’re now operating to BSL from STN, 50 miles up the road, does make it look as if EZY will very soon be pulling out of ZRH altogether.

what happened was, that orang- sorry, tangerine, coloured stuff was sprayed on, starting at the winglet, and progressively moving into towards the cabin, until all I could see out the window was spray. Then, the operator went back to the start and sprayed a (luminous) green solution over the top. He then went to spray the Elevators, and two minutes later we were airborn.

she put it down whilst washing her hands? wouldn’t a Holster be an idea, or does she need to carry it 24/7?

Should be a case for on the spot dismissal, really, never mind how good the previous record is…
