we can’t check german sites if no one posts a link… 😉
There should hopefully be plenty of interesting charters heading over to Sweden in May to include in that vid…
when did they decide to go with that tail rather than the PIA script tail as in the previous images of the new livery?
The Heron Frontier is a 319, not a 318… (count the windows)
Excellent pics there, WD.
UA scheduled non-stop 777 flights ex-DEN today (1/4):
2*IAD
5*ORD
2*SFO
probably because they’re too good to give him something to spout hours of mindless drivel at…
I still say Concorde would be impractical for freighter use… because of the position of the wings, you couldn’t install a side door, so any cargo carried in the cabin (as opposed to the luggage compartment) would have to be loaded through the pax doors, one item at a time, and by hand. You’d surely lose any time gained in flight by having to load the aircraft this way. Plus the Additional cost of fuel, and I really think the whole FedEx idea wasn’t thought through and was totally stillborn.
That’s exactly why Andre Dose has had to resign as CEO of Swiss, as he was in charge of Crossair at the time. The Swiss Authorities are still conducting their investigations, and it has been suggested Dose will be cited.
See also the Accident Report of the crash.
Air Frog (by Cityjet) 146-200.
I saw one or two easyjet 737’s, and the checkin next to mine was bmibaby, although I never saw their aircraft. So there must have been a fair few locos about.
I’ve been checking the registrations I picked up, that KLM 737 was my first 739. 😀 And apparantly the Saab 2000 I came back on is the only one in the LX fleet with a silver tail, the rest have a grey tail.
I still haven’t been on a Saab 2000 in ‘standard’ colours, then… (my only previous flight in one being on the Eurocross promotional aircraft (HB-IYA))
Beach Balls rule. 😉
Dosen’t UTC just use GMT, which the UK uses in Winter, but not in Summer (when it’s on BST)?

But then again, sometimes you don’t understand what posts are on about, anyway…
In conclusion, I had a brilliant time in Barcelona, and anyone heading over there for a meet in the Summer is bound to enjoy themselves thoroughly.
And don’t forget… it’s compulsory to sing ‘And they gave us James McGrory and Paul McStay…’ nonstop the whole time you’re there. 😉
Unfortunately, right after landing, and taking this picture, the battery decided it had had enough, so I wasn’t able to get any pics of the aircraft at the gate, including CRJ’s of Lufthansa and CimberAir. 🙁
And still turning, and practically over 02, the short crossfield runway.
…and turning onto 34 for (very) short finals
