Couple of great pics, there.
Re: Ryanair news
Anyone else wonder how this
this new destination from Bournemouth brings the list up to four destinations from Ryanair to Frankfurt/Hahn, Dublin, Barcelona/Girona and Glasgow Prestwick.
Tallies with this
However, it isn’t all good news for Bournemouth as the Barcelona route will be replacing it’s current once daily service to Frankfurt/Hahn.
??
So Barcelona makes it four FR destinations ex-Bournemouth, namely Girona, Dublin, Prestwick and er… the one that Girona is replacing?
it’s January 1st 2000, isn’t it? 😉
it’s some kind of millenium bug thing…
nah, it’s because we’ve moved forum once or twice, and, although log in names and previous posts were saved, we lost details such as the date we joined.
most popular perfume is Chanel Nr. 5
1. it’s about 20 miles, so more like 32 km.
4. the other runway is 23 (?)

d’oh… the camera’s battery gave up the ghost about the time the AH flight was taxiing out, an hour late… leaving me without a zoom for a close up.
The only time I’ve been on a jumbo was a BA 747-136 in 97 (EWR-LHR)… I’ve certainly seen some fresher looking interiors… it would have been, what, 30 odd years old?
Jesus Christ, French and Italian State companies merging… think of the red tape 😮
I’m picking my cousin up off the FR flight at SXB (Strasbourg) on Thursday, will try and enquire off the info desk if they normally get the 146 or the 737.
I recognise that bush… nice airport once again, Hand 😉

Air Algerie have got at least two hushkitted 727-200’s that they still use on flights to Europe from Algeria.

I used to wait on the bus to go home from work about 50 metres away from a 727 starting up on the Cargo Apron, when I was at Jet Aviation. Unfortunately, FedEx replaced their BSL-based 727 with an A310., which isn’t quite as exciting. That 72 was a noisy bugger. (wys might know the bus stop I mean… just along from Swiss (formerly Crossair) HQ at BSL, where he did his Saab training)
super guppys.
… and Swiss A320 coming in from LHR a couple of days ago.
just to illustrate the kind of view of landings I get when 34 is in use…
Swiss Saab 2000…

the other ‘major’ airlines without a fatal crash are, if I recall corectly, Aer Lingus and Virgin Atlantic.
there’s probabbly more, although certainly for the older airlines, it must be pretty rare never to have had something
