listen, mate, just a quiet wee word in your shell like.
It is starting to get a bit tiresome having to reread every sentence you write to work out what you’re saying – and that’s for teh native speakers! We’ve got guys here for whom English isn’t their mother tongue, and they may well find it nigh on impossible to understand the vernacular you use.
(and I apologise to any of them if they need to get a dictionary out to understand that… ;))
latest addendum to above story:
A spokesman for the airline confirmed that BA staff working at Terminal One walked out at about 1600 BST on Friday.
Trade union and BA sources told the BBC the dispute centres on new procedures under which staff must ‘swipe in’ to gain access to terminals.
The dispute is affecting ground staff, including ticket and baggage handlers, making it impossible for flights to take off.
BA staff stage walkout
British Airways (BA) flights from Heathrow Airport’s Terminal One have been grounded because of industrial action by the airline’s staff.
It is understood that all BA staff working at Terminal One walked out earlier on Friday.
Passengers on the ground have not been given any information, and the Transport and General Workers’ Union – which represents BA staff – said the action had not been put to the vote.
“The strike is unofficial,” a TGWU spokeswoman said.
More soon.

I can’t find any info on this Bhoy, and theres nothing on the BA site?
I heard it on Radio 1. It’s in the ‘latest headlines’ news ticker on the BBC News website (news.bbc.co.uk), although there’s no details as yet, it just ‘more soon’.
Sounds like a former buzz a/c.
No way would the Mergers and Monoplies Commision let them have that much of the slots at LHR…

Last time I flew to Tel Aviv my crew meal was gammon! I dread to think what the passengers would have thought. Mind you I guess it’s also a good thing that all those Celtic fans didn’t know that they were flown to Seville by me and another protestant last month!!!
wys, unlike that other mob from Govan, as a club we’re open to all faiths, creeds, colours and sexual orientation.
So what if the club was originally started for Catholics, very few of the staff nowadays are.
Florida dude, I ain’t flown on UK charters before, but I have flown both United and US Air (as it was then, in ’97) on US coast to coast flights, and in both instances, there was a $5 charge for the headsets.
I flew on a Swissair A310 ten years ago, and don’t have any complaints about the a/c.
as far as I’m aware, they only retired the 747 classic’s, and still have a couple of 744’s.
everyone’s entitled to their opinions, but I wouldn’t rate any airline that highly that makes you pay for the wherewithall for listening to the inflight movie, so that discounts teh American carriers…
Best in flight service I’ve had is without a doubt BA Club World.
Yeah, Dartie, it might be more to do with the fact that skycruiser is 744 flight crew for Cathay…
the whole of London’ll be trying to get to Heathrow for that… :S You’ve no chance, unless you can sort out some press badges… 😉
LHR and MAN are the only major airports in the UK with more than one runway. (several other do have smaller runways, too, but not of a length to support anything but GA)
AF have 21 domestic destinations from ORY, 2 in Corsica (ok, they’re domestic too…), 1 in Spain (Seville… *sigh*), 1 in Morrocco (Marrakech), 2 in Italy (Milan/Bergamo and Naples), 1 in Ing-ur-lund (London City) and 4 DOM-TOM’s (Pointe-à -Pitre, Fort-de-France, Cayenne and La Réunion)
Hardly surprising, really… that’s why Air Scotland ditched Electra and have since been operating on Air Holland’s Operating Licence, using Air Holland a/c.
