Really enjoyable set of pictures there. Personally, I thought the opening F15/Heritage slot was the highlight of the show. An RAF version would be great and I was lucky enough to see a Typhoon/Jaguar/Hurricane flypast at Coningsby earlier this year

Lovely shots, very crisp. Can I ask what lens you were using?

Found it hilarious and the garage owner’s reaction to ‘Nascar Sucks’ was fabulous….”I’m a gonna call the boys up…..” Funny but frightening. Couldn’t imagine a bunch of Yanks getting pelted with rocks for painting ‘Cricket sucks’ on a car:rolleyes:

Great pics and a great day out – this show is so great as you are really close to the action. Spoke to many Breighton first timers who were amazed just how near the planes were. Did you get a shot of the Nieuports near colision with the trees Gareth? Bet the pilot had to change his underwear 😮

If I remember correctly the station commander actually shot Unwin’s dog as he couldn’t stand the barking………

Sad loss though…currently have Unwin’s Spit(with Flash) in pride of place in the dining room – courtesy of Corgi’s lovely 1/32nd scale model.

I was there on Sunday too, great pictures Steven. I thoroughly enjoyed the day.

One thing – I heard a rumour about a mystery plane in hanger 4 – supposed to be ultra rare and in Croatian markings…..Any ideas?

Yeah I saw the B24 nose at Fantasy of Flight when I was over there in 2000, very well described by MRP too 🙂
