Thanks Vultee and Yak for your responses much appreciated!
Sounds like there mya be some interesting changes afoot for the museum further to Bomberboys comments!
I guess its a step in the right direction?
I guess we must all get behind the museum in some form to ensure the future of the collection is secured…there is no disputing the rarity of the exhibits! Where else would you find a Lanc that has completed over 100 missions, original wellington bomber, a stuka,heinkel,me109,ju88 all under one roof and an abundance of first world war original aircraft and replicas
Good luck to the museum i hope the decline does not continue and with our support it can become the place we all once loved. It still holds a special place in my heart
Just think how lucky you are at all to have these wonderful aeroplanes on show at all! lets face it they all could have been scrapped (to give my mum more than one saucepan) post war. So what if the lights not good.,,,, we can’t have everything.
I haven’t been since the place first opened. It seemed better then as fewer aeroplane made more of an impression on me.
Here Here! I love the place and its treasures!
awesome pics! love the one of the he111 with the iconic picture of st pauls behind it

Yes
It is N6812 which flown by Flight Sub-Lieutenant Culley shot down Zeppelin L53.
Cheers SE5a Fan!
I think the Eindecker is at the Science Museum now and as Daz said its stripped to expose its skeleton
Cool, thanks for the update.
I note it does not say anything about the RNHF’s other Sea Fury – VX281.
Is she still at Weald?

Was there also to witness…superb display. What a pilot Richard Grace is. That dive and approach to open really demonstrated the P47’s power and weight!
