Does anyone know if the lift will be live on the BBC news channel?

For Wondy – Mary Mine back in 1944/5

Jason – Thank you great pic

Heres to all of us seeing her flying in our lifetime for pleasure and as a tribute to the Mighty 8th and all those brave airmen who passed away

RAFRochford/RafMatt thank you for your posts!

Like you i am fascinated about the ‘legend’ of Doug Arnold and what he did for the warbird movement and what there is still out there.

I know like you say recently there were various containers with aircraft in that have been sold on…p47 to TFC, Wildcat to America and i believe (im sure someone will be quick to correct me) the FW190 is actually the A5 flying in America now that was recovered from Russia?

I heard there is still a P40 knocking around and it was fascinating to hear about the P51 by Jason.

Wonder what else is still out there and wonder what is still at Greenham Common?

The subject does pop up every now and then…fascinating

There are rumours that some a/c are at Greenham Common.

I am particularly interested in the P-51 ‘Mary Mine’ which is a 8th AF combat veteran and the sole remaining original survivor of the 361st Fighter Group.

Some say it is in a container at Greenham Common other says its in Florida. Owned by Baron Corp which I think is a front for Dave Arnold.

Jason thanks for that post – very interesting! That is one sweet P51 and amazing that it is a genuine 8th AF combat veteran! Keep me posted if you hear anything more be fascinating to see where she is now

I seem to remember PM631 had a spell on display at Hendon sometime during the ’90s.

Yeah she was in the Bomber Command Hall for a little while. Great to see her back on display!
