Perhaps i should send him some old bits of tin iron, and say its part of douglas baders lost leg ????. my grandad gave it too me, he was ploughing the fields in france on his Fordson Major at the time, and it fell from the sky and clouted him on the head,…. I bet the ****** would try to sell it too, LOL, what a iddiot, and to think people will pay money for such relics,

😮 Where did you find that?

about 6 to 7 years ago, a contact in Babimost airbase, (scrap man) he was breaking up the Polish Mig 21 fleet there,
he sent photos and everything, (wish i could find them, but the were on my old PC) 🙁

he said he could do me the cockpit for £1000, and make a purpose built cradle for £100, .. and could deliver as far as Holland for another £500, i would meet him at the port, and take delivery, and drive it back.

wont get a chance like that again 🙁

Still, I got my other soviet project to sort out soon, but that will be happening in the new year 🙂 😀

Me… A Mig21 cockpit complete, with all dials and fittings, with stand, 1000 pounds.. all went through to getting it, then I go and lose my job.. so that messed that up.. 🙁 .

also a prop blade from He111 (1G+GM) Kg27 , which crashed only a mile from my house on the shore, and many members of my family at the time seen it get shot down,

I recovered it from a local hotel for the south west aircraft recovery group,
(they wouldnt let me have it individually 🙁 ) .. when the group folded up, it got stolen from the store, and will never be returned, to the hotel it belonged to.
The very hotel where the surviving german airman was taken whilst waiting for transport by the army as a POW .

thanks, will contact russain trucks etc, as for ebay, i have little faith, to see a ejector seat for 2k, i think that is way on exessive, there are some horrificly priced items on there, like blank instrument panels for 500 etc, from a fan trainer, or something simaller, ebay is ok for the odd bargain, but on the whole it is exessivly expensive .. but allways worth a look, .:D

Never knew that was there. Nice find.
Theres alot of retired aircraft over at Predannack if you’re interested.

    Allready asked old Boy,
I have letters from the MOD, DSA and The Base commander stating that Preddanacks Wessex are still very much in use as fire training rigs, and anything else these Hulks can be used for. … in a word.. Gutted..I might take a visit with me hacksaw, and cart off a cockpit in the middle of the Night LOL… Nah just patiently wait .. one will come up one day ;):D

Just a Thought…. whats happening if anything ??.. with XS513 sat on the dump at yoevilton, she was in good condition for a wreck as such, has she fallen into more disrepair ??, or does she have a bright future ??

.As an aside Flowers Yard also had some Bristol Hercules exhaust collector rings, which i believe went to Canada in 1995/96 and now reside on Halifax NA337.

    Yep Geoff,
I was the one dealing with Mr Karl Kjasgaard, who was with the team restoring NA337 . I emailed him, and he came over and visited me, and we went to flowers yard to see what could be used for the NA337 Project, I believe the Cowls /Collector rings came from Hastings Type, and I do remember he did grab a few bits, we saw quite alot of him Back then.

The poor old canberra nose was smashed to ******y though, but I remember the London -Christchurch on her.. which at the time, I never realised the importance of it .
