Oi stop Ze dissing of Le Mystere !! haha
My nomination for room 101 would be:
Shorts 330/60. A box with wings – completely useless as an airliner when there were much nicer HS748s or F50s available… Nasty to work on, and as aerodynamic as a fridge.
Mystere – not as good as a Hunter, oh and French…;) If only they had bought real aircraft from the UK industry…
I agree with the Tonado F3… 1 flight = 30 snags
Again, no disrespect meant (even to the French!) just my personal take…:D
HERE, I LOVE LE MYSTERE< JE-TAIME LE MYSTERE, haha, i likes it because it broke some record, which for the french is bloody amazing, and it resembles (slightly) a MIG 15 , my favourite MIG type well apart from the 17 too, they were good at shooting phantoms down in the vietnam war , and i suppose i like the Mig 19 ,as it looks such a brute, but i suppose i just like Migs, and the mystere resembles one, sort of, so i like it, i wouldnt sniff at that if someone offered me one, 😀

Thanyou Mark G,
I am so pleased that you have released that info on his previous sales,
he told me he got 5K each, and to be honest, I didnt know quite what it was worth, yet he told me years ago he sold some complete noses for £500, No he has none left,
I myself thought it a bit steep for a hulk, but saying that it has got its bang seat and is in much much better condition than the predanick hunter that was sold to a paintball park for £2000,
I am glad someone on the site is forefront in letting us know a rough idea of price, after deliberation, i think in its condition, it may be worth £3000, but never £5000,
but yet until i was told different , how would i know if i have never bought such a item,
thanks again
Chris C:D

Bulldog,
Bulldog as in Scottish Aviation variety? There may be a few private owners who disagree with you! Did you have a bad time in them somewhere? Okay so with that engine, they are something of a rumbley bus inside, but handle rather well and you can do aeros.
Well its got to be the little bulldog trainer, bloody cessna of the RAF,
crappy little engine, if i wanted to see one of them i would got to a civvy airport, with my Notebook, taking down numbers , and bottleneck glasses,
and the spit, as lovely as she is, there getting as common as a airbus, every
rich mans got one, or a mustang, bloody boring ,wouyld be nice to see something a bit different for a change, :diablo: :diablo:

“gonna need a bigger boat” JAws” 😀 😀 :diablo: :dev2:
canberra
there is a PR7 Canberra on cockpitclub website going for £950 if that helps? the extra £550 would go well toward restoring it 🙂 i wanted it but i dont have the luxury of money heh
i love the old canberra, but the logistics of having one at the mo, is near impossible, thats why i am looking for a single seater at mo, 🙂
puntuation puntititoion, oh ****** cant spell it
You always spend some of that cash on punctuation lessons. I do good rates 😀
Good luck in your quest for a cockpit 🙂

yep, i know you worked hard on that one Tim, although, i must admit i am still hurt over being rejected a invite, I would have gladly had nothing but just to see her come out of the ground, I was very sore for quite some time,

was thinking of breaking em for Trinkets 😀
merlins
THEY ARE MERLIN 25 ACTUALLY, GOT UN RIGHT HERE IN THE SHED., real crackers, just a shame they were post war,:D
Hi Merkle, i read your post with interest. you are not alone in finding it hard to find crash information or avaialle sites——but thats why most of us here do it!!!! As you will read, the sites are still out there -Fighter Ace with the Whitley and others such as Tangmere 1940 have proved this.
Blenheim R3912 took over 10 years to recover, which i belive your group once held a license to recover previously??. I firmly belive that in this world you make your own luck, and if you want something bad enough you will make it happen and get it eventually. I am hoping to realise my lifetime dream of recovering some Merlins X2 in the near future-again its been more than 10 years from the first contact with the landowner its April 2008 and im still in there:diablo: :diablo: !!!!!!!.I am finding that valuable research time is to be had whilst on the throne, nothing better than serching through air britain at that time of the day!!!
On the other side, the SAE would be more than willing to offer artifacts collected from Somerset crash sites to the proposed Museum.
Best regards, Tim :diablo:
engine
no the spit engine was found a year later miles down the coast, they recovered it but it fell apart so i was told, a years worth of salt water open to the elements i suppose
blenhiem,
why not try the old trick of tying old oil barrels to it and bringing it up that way, towing it to a slip way :dev2:
