    RE: Manx Airlines

I think the GCI team sent up a couple of VLM fokker 50s for the games.Next year it is our turn at holding the games so i’m looking forward to seeing a few different aircraft.

    RE: TACV

This is an airline I am very keen to experience and also an area of the world i’m interested in so I will try and give you as many details as I can.
At the moment they fly the 757, ATR 42, DHC-6 and the 737 to points in Africa and Europe. Their service is apparently quite good on international services, with movies, music and average food. However, on internal flights I heard about quite long delays with no information provided.More info:

Hope this is of some help.

RE: A few pics for Saab and Wysiwyg.

Nice pictures! Those pictures seem quite old as the Trislanders and the Shorts are in the old c/s.
T5, I think the old shorts is with Bahamsair now, although I could be wrong since it left the fleet a rather long time ago now.

Aurigny literally means Alderney in French so it obviously is Alderney Air Services. With the pronunciation, Wysiwyg has it right, however, just to set a myth straight, the airline is not called Joey (as many people have said to me) it is Aurigny Air Services. The Joey was only one Trislander with a smilie face on it.

    RE: They saw UFOs!

I don’t think so…I would like to think they saw something, but I really do doubt the genuineness of this story. Many of these stories told by pilots have an earthly origin.Don’t get me wrong,I believe in UFOs,however, this story seems a bit false. Moreover, who has seen a Hapag Lloyd DC-10 and a Sun Express 747?

    RE: ALITALIA HIJACK ATTEMPT

Well we have had our fair share of Hijack attempts over the past couple of years so I am not drawing to false conclusions, however by the way the media are reacting i’m thinking it could sadly, be something more sinister
I’m glad the aircraft got down safe without any major incident.

    RE: A310……….

EGNM:I think the aircraft leased from Hapag Lloyd was D-AHLA for this years winter season. However,ASA have bought an A310 of Hapag Lloyd (D-AHLC) and it is now in full ASA colours with the new registration being 5Y-VIP I think.

Extremely impressive shot. The New Zealand terrain makes a dramatic backdrop to the 727.

RE: RyanAir and Boeing have a pop at Airbus.

Ryanair love angering other airlines and manufacturers.A good PR stunt but I really do think it is rather silly.I sense a bit of jealousy and aggravation from Boeing and Ryanair…
