RE: TS flight makes an emergency landing
Definately an A330 according to CNN,it had been in service since 1999.The aircraft was forced to glide on to the runway. The captain said that he had only 5 minutes of fuel left therefore it was going have to glide into Lajes in Santa Maria.
The passengers started to panicking when on descent the aircraft hit heavy turbulance.

RE: which is the best airport
Zurich Kloten is a very a large and efficiant airport, for me it is an alternative to LGW with our daily GCI-ZRH flight with crossair.I think LHR is to small and cramped for the number of passengers which pass through it,it may loose its place as the largest airport in Europe if there is no expasion in the years to come.I have only been to LHR once, and that was enougth.
An airport which i think is the worst in the world is Barbadoes Grantley Adams, one small cramped departures lounge with one fire exit and no air conditioning, long waits at the check in,no trolleys for your luggage, you have to pay staff to come help you and we were waiting for 1 hour to get our lugggage from the aircraft, many people missed their connections to the other islands. It was a great start to the holiday.

RE: Rennes St Jaques
I will replie on the forum instead of emailing you, others might want to know about the airport.I have seen Rennes St.Jaques when i have travelled down the motorway from the port in St.Malo.Unfortnatly i have never been to it though.Brit air,Flandre air,Air bretagne,Air littoral and a few other regional airlines operate into there as well as an occasioanol charter from Euralair. There are destinations all over france as well as LCY with an AF ATR 42.
There are 2 other airports around the Bretagne area which have civil aviation traffic,Dinard and St.Brieuc.Dinard has flights to Jersey, guernsey with aurigny trislanders which is only a 20 minute flight.Ryanair operate a 737-200 from Standsted as well.
St.Brieuc in recent years has lost a lot of passengers, the only airline i am aware of operating there is air Bretagne which operates to,Jersey,Nantes and Orly with Bech 1900C’s.
Due to the very busy ferry port of St.Malo being very close to these airports, passenger services have not really taken off, most people prefer to take there cars on the boat and stock up with all the wine and french food.

RE: Good topic for a poll
How about about something to do with Concorde as that seems to be one of the big things happening in aviation at the moment. such as “Do u think that Concorde is safe to fly?”,or,”After all the saftey tests taken out on Concorde would you be happy to fly on Concorde?
I know what my answer would be.
