Yes, indeed a very diverse fleet especially from its regional franchises.
Despite all temporary cuts things are not getting any better.
If UA cannot achieve its proposed labor cost reductions then it faces catastrophic consequences with the current aviation climate helping it do no better.
Sadly I think it is too little too late and sadly UA could go into liquidation and will drift into history. Though who knows, look at Continental how they came back.
TAP used to serve Glasgow? I never knew that.
This is probably actually quite good for the Portuguese Government. They were trying to half privatize the airline, as it is State Owned. Swissair was going to take a stake, however, due to obvious reasons it could not happen. Now that it is profitable then it could attract more interest.
I wonder how the airline is doing on its niche market to Brazil? With the current problems of Varig it is probably making quite a lucrative business.
Doesn’t Air France have one of the most diverse fleets? Nice pic….
Well it is obvious SAS cannot compete with Ryanair, but yet another low cost airline makes me want to scream, the European aviation market looks like a bad joke….for goodness sake they can’t even get the livery right. They call themselves snowflake yet it is bright yellow? How long it will be around I would question. There seems to be only one low cost airline in Scandinavia-Ryanair. So many have tried to compete yet have failed.
I must agree with the Manx c/s…would be nice to see the original again (not that jazzed up BA version). The Manx livery on the Jetstream 41-Brilliant!
I would also like to see Aurigny have a standard livery throughout the whole fleet like they used.
Ryanair said that their reasons for launching these former Buzz routes was because it now had sufficient personnel to relaunch 13 of Buzz’s 24 routes, as pilots overwhelmingly accepted their new Ryanair contracts.
I don’t think it is a major surprise. We have not heard anything about it in months. However, I do think DBA does need a new partner as I don’t think their growth into the low cost market has been the success they hoped.
There are only two aircraft being painted in these colour schemes. They are to promote Aer Lingus’ European type low cost operations which they have adopted to compete with the likes of Ryanair. All their other aircraft will stay in the Shamrock style liveries.
Plus having the lights off gives a much clearer view of the surronding area on take-off 😉
Fabulous livery, fabulous airline, fabulous picture.
Yes, a super aircraft! I am looking forward to seeing the airline back in Guernsey for the summer season…
The Tristar with the Jordanian livery is indeed very sharp and quite superior to any other airlines. Looks especially good on the A320.

The old Continental 1980s colour scheme was always quite good looking. I think Air New Zealand’s old livery was nice as well.
