What alterations have been made to the former French Buzz destinations? Which destinations are being dropped? I know there was a lot of anger about them dropping the French destinations.

Well the flight was a continuation on from Sydney so I imagine 162 is probably quite an average load?

I like how close Swiss and JAL seem to be getting to Oneworld. Sure do need some expansion to compete with Star who are the total opposite of Oneworld, expanson, expansion, expansion, whereas Oneworld is very cautious.

Blackpool used to have British European flights to Belfast which I think are returning. There are also charter flights to Jersey plus to the Med. I think the Dublin route will be interesting, I wonder how many Dubliners would like a weekend in Blackpool :p

Anyway, some of the schedules seems pretty hypocritical of Ryanair considering their stance on the less than daily frequencies Buzz offered.

What is happening to the French domestic destinations? I will take a wild guess that they will cease to exist?

It’s hard to pick a position on this subject, there are so many examples to bolster your position.

In my opinion the visibility in a low winged aircraft is generally better than that of a high winged aircraft. In the high winged aircraft the views are much better for the passenger but the low winged aircraft is more advantageous to the pilot who will not be blind in turns. Also a low winged aircraft will be less vulnerable to the things like crosswinds because a high winged is higher up on the crosswind gradient plus the wind has a tendency to get under the wings. Smaller things like refuelling and gear retraction which tend to also be much easier on the low wing aircraft with a high winged aircraft being harder.

From a passengers point of view the low wing aircraft seems to have the advantage as well. The appearance is more modern on a low winged aircraft but less so on a high winged aircraft. To me a high winged aircraft gives an impression of less confidence whereas me being a commercial aviation kinda guy, I like the modern, jet like looks of the low winged aircraft.

However, it is a circular argument and Iโ€™m sure others could question the low winged aircraft but thatโ€™s just my opinion on the matter.

Jay330, as wysiwyg said, the JER flights is a BAe 146 on all daily flights from LGW although in the winter a few of the less popular scheduled times go to a -Q400. Should of gone BA and got on a nice 735!

Hellaid 2, I can appreciate that you generally do have an interest to chat about aviation to the best of your ability, which is fine, we are always welcoming new members. However, what you need to understand is that this is a place where the discussion is normally of a higher quality, which you have to acknowledge and asking people silly questions of no value is extremely annoying for others. If you were to calm down and to respect others then I as one would be happy to see you around this forum as generally the question asked was of normal quality (even though on the wrong forum). Have a break, think about your attitude and come back in a few weeks once you’ve had time to think about your position.
I do not hate you, but I wish you would take on another viewpoint…

Listen guys, Iโ€™m not going to get involved in these quarrels but it has become inevitable to let it just fly over my head. All I will say is just respect that this is an aviation discussion board not a medium by which you can abuse and accuse others of things we can not prove nor deny. Life is too short for such things especially when it involves really quite a monotonous subject.

Hellaid 2, I can understand that this is an aviation topic even if it is not civilian, a mistake that occurs quite often. However, I would appreciate if you could peruse it in a much more mature way otherwise it becomes rather fatuous. If you can do this and stop posting the nonsense then all the better on you for showing you do possess a certain degree of maturity and that you can respect others perspective .
Other members, I see your point of view…..

Aer Lingus still have the A319 on order yet it seems to of gone quiet about what their future will be, so I doubt an A318 order would be on the cards. I would think at the moment all BAe 146 routes would go to the 735?
