To go along with jethro15’s request. Pic was taken with a Kodak P850. It’s a digital with up to 12x optical zoom. It is actually 5 photos taken with overlappings then pieced together with a very nice piece of software called
Arcsoft Panorama Maker. No footering with joins. The software finds your overlaps and matches them up.
Nice ones Kevin. Like the puff of burning rubber from the Air Malta.
There was some amount of clicking of overflights going on that day. Need to have a JAL, or maybe a LOT going further south than usual so you can look for the reggie nummur underneath.
Like the shot of the 747 nose climbing out. The angle is just right!
Well… seems that the NAO with snowcapped Arran gets approval. Heyyyyyy Scotty … one small step, eh ? Still got the real camera with the slides of course! Dannae forget it.
Kevin …. you spell my name right next time. WODDY indeed… huh! Sounds like a relation of that wee elf geyser in Harry Potter.
Glad you enjoyed them troops. It’s a start … twas a day of footering and trying things out. Watch this space (not with breath held though as this “work” nonsense tends to interfere with getting to the drome on decent days.
Nice one of the Yak, with that clumsy looking undercarriage going up. Could do with a flight in that!
I like the shots there Mr G. Great light on the North American lined up. And
that first Indian pig shot is great with that background. Crop the bottom and it could be setting down in some dirt strip in India.
The BA DHC8. How DOOO THEY do that? Defying the laws of physics like that by balancing on one wheel WAYYYYYY forward of the C of G. Huge helium balloons hanging from the tail ? Ha.
Great Austrian Arrows landing. Love the dark sky and full sun on the Fokker. Also like the KLM for the great contrast with the sunlit bright blue showing nicely against the darker background!
Adding to Matt’s question about Austrian Arrows Saturday service, they only operate during the skiing season so they should be finishing soon I reckon.
Think the skiing season will become ancient history with this global warming ?
Ha.
I like the Emirates wheels shot. Good one !!
One question though…… what’s that last PIA shot all about ?
Screen your shots
Howdo Peter
These shots could have done with a bit of sharpening before going on. The BMA Embraer is wayyy out. Your DSLR should be able to capture a sharper image than that with the right settings … even in dull conditions, given that the distance to target isn’t too far. Plenty of opportunity to get some nice sunny sharp shots of the commoners like BMI Embraers and stuff.
