If it’s damp and cloudy can I pop over, I am fed up of sneeziing and itching my bloomin eyes, peasky heyfever.
It’s pretty warm here in Manchester 25 outside but not much sun.
Glasgow: ancient scots tongue, pertaining to mistiness, adj: freezing. Always wet and miserable, nae fear of skin cancer.
This was the highlight of last summer’s EDI Saturday mornings
A very busy aircraft indeed, came from Amsterdam after a gruelling haul around South America.
Air Scotland managed to fill it to Palma and back 😎 ..
I have a model of it in the post as well, mibbe I’ll have to get it resprayed in blue ?
With all your advertising they should change its name from Irfanview to IrfRenFrew!
You’re right ! Now where’s that commission cheque ? 😉
Seriously though, I always recommend it as it’s p*ss easy to use and doesn’t cost a bean. It was Roger S who originally mentioned it on here incidentally, I’m just keeping the torch burning so to speak. 😀
You should have come to GLA for spotting if you don’t like getting sunburnt. 😡
Why are there so many GLA v EDI debates on here? Everyone knows that there’s only one airport in Scotland – DND! 😀
Perhaps I ought to reply to your post Dean in the the thread about airport codes ? Dundee=DND = ‘Drunk N Disorderly’, very apt don’t you think ? (lol) 😉
Another two in the post this morning via e-bay. Some nice Far Eastern players to enhance the collection and my first MD-11 too…
Ah… they have two 767’s now the latest being the former PH-AHR from Air Holland.
Why was it there Flood ? On it’s way to the joint forces excercises off the Scottish coast perchance ?
My God! 😮 Nearly as big as Andy’s collection 😉
And that’s just his Gemini Jets ! 😀
I’ll just nick is wallet then
And I’ll nick his models… 😮
Seen it too. A black dot on the sun.
“There’s a little black spot on the sun today… it’s the same old thing as yesterday”
Name that tune ?
The rumour mill suggest new Zoom routes might
include EDI…we won’t know until they release details. All additional flights will be available on the website as of August 1
How many planes have they got now ? Last I heard they were having trouble finding enough used 767ER’s for the task.
“Daddy do we get to ride in the big twuck?”
“No son, the man’s fixed it”
“But Daddy.. the twuck…?” 😀
Ja I think you should learn to count mate. The last time it happened was 1802 which by my maths is 204 years
By my maths that’s 202 years ago. 🙂
The transits actually occur approximately four times in a 243 year period, the last one occuring in 1882 and the next two expected in 2012 and 2117. So the last one was actually 122 years ago.
GLA-Glasgow
EDI- Edinburgh
PIK- Prestwick
ABZ- Aberdeen
Pretty straight forward for the main Scottish airports.
