    You certainly could do, many factors were to blame including the crew’s inability to get the fecker to turn sufficiently quickly enough to avoid the ice.

    If it’s gone back to being all white, it’s possibly because of a temporary repaint to reflect the livery of one of the many tour operators Atlanta are representing this summer. The fact they’ve designed such as simple house livery for their fleet would tend to suggest this as well.

    Hmmm…. As a seasoned Boeing chap, I’m sure you’d love to get your hands on one of those 744’s. However as a ‘bus’ driver don’t you gain cockpit commonality across the wider Airbus range, therefore giving you a slightly better chance of a move should things go pear shaped ? :confused:

    Wasn’t the common fault with the 777’s creating smoke in the cockpit down to an issue with the windscreen glass heating system ?

    that is why they’re now with “Greece Airways” who have been formed from the ashes of Electra Airlines

    Air Holland and Air Scotland parted company last November. Air Scotland now use a (leased via Greece Airlines) TCX 752 and a Maersk 737. More 757’s are due in April and over the summer via Greece Airlines, a company set up by some of the former Electra board.

    Yes, the smoke in cockpit 777 emergency is becoming quite a common occurence. There’s been two through GLA recently.

    You’ll see A319’s at ABZ eventually when they up the fleet some more. Here’s a shot of the first ever visit of one to Glasgow last year on it’s UK familiarisation tour…
