Presumably there was very little benefit for BA and Loganair running them as franchise routes.

I’m glad to hear that and it’s something I’ve suspected would happen for a while now. Do you have any info as to what the livery will look like when it returns ?

Where do they put you guys up in Glasgow these days ? Is it the Holiday Inn at the airport or The Thistle Hotel in Glasgow city centre ?

I’ve often seen flight crew awaiting their mini bus outside The Thistle.

I wasn’t aware of those 737’s ? I know for a fact Loganair own no 737’s. Perhaps BA transferred some Loganair registrations to their fleet ?

It’s interesting Wys as they were starting to fly to routes outwith Scotland more and more when they were swallowed up by BRA. The Bae 146 was being used on routes to the Channel Isles as I recall ?

I wonder where they might be now if they’d continued to progress as they were doing. I imagine there might be some A319’s and Embraer 135/145’s in the fleet by now, probably some De Havillands and who knows what else ?

Most fledgling airlines starting in Scotland these days go for the holiday market such as Air Scotland and Globespan. Loganair are still very much a lifeline service operating to the extreme strips and fields of the Scottish islands, they still have the Scottish Air Ambulance contract a certain Mr Logan Ayres from Tiree I believe is named after his birth place (born on an Islander en route to GLA).

These types of airlines fascinate me as they do such diverse and interesting work. If I ever get round to making my “prize winning” aviation documentary then I think one on Loganair might be quite interesting (lol) I really must get my a*se in gear !
