….
Loganair is a much smaller outfit now than it was back in the 80’s when you worked there Moondance. I don’t know if you where there when the jet age met them, but that was as big as they got before coming under the British Regional Airlines umbrella.
In those days the fleet included, Islanders, Trislanders, Embraer Bandeirante’s, Shorts 330’s/360’s, Jetstreams, Fokker F27’s ATP’s and briefly the Bae 146. They had their own livery then as well which I used to like as it was Loganair that gave me my forst taste of aviation when a pilot came to my school to give a class talk about his job. He gave the impression that he loved his job and that he loved the company.
I get the feeling Loganair now is trying to get back to the way it was and get back it’s own identity once more. At the moment the fleet comprises of Saab’s Islanders, Twin Otters and Shorts 360’s all flown in BA colours. It would be nice to see those red whiter and black colours back in the skies again. Not to mention Manx, Brymon and all the others that got dipped in the BA corporate vat.
Is there a Snappy Snaps branch near you ? They do really nice matt prints and can do them in an hour if you want.
Also good just now are Boots who will put your pics on a CD for an extra pound if you take the one hour service. Getting them on a CD is useful anyway wherever you get them developed as it makes it easier to get them on the web.
I’m off to Paisley now for a haircut and then to GLA to test things out. I may post a few pics on here later if they turn out alright.

but it did mean living in Glasgow (sorry Ren, but I’m an English wimp)
Ah don’t worry there’s plenty of English wimps in Glasgow these days… (lol) 😀
Yeah, thanks for that Mongu.
Could someone explain the Bermuda II treaty to me please ? I’ve never heard of it.
I don’t have any firm plans, would just like to see Cork again and catch up with my Irish family and friends, so anytime would suit and a nice little flight would be good as well.
I don’t mind smoking (as a non smoker) as long as it’s not right in my face.
I can’t think of a reason why there couldn’t be a partition put up to separate smokers/non smokers like they put up a partition to separate business class and the rest of us.
I’m not pro smoking but if it helps people relax on a long flight then I could probably put up with it within reason.

Drove past LHR this afternoon, in the “brief” shower we had! Pulled up in the perimeter road for 2 mins and snapped this.Just to say, this was not taken using my new camera… I was finishing a film off in my old one. Hence the darkness!
Anyhow enjoy. 🙂
That’s a nice pic A330Crazy. Now stop them excuses and let’s see some of your Nikon work ! 😀
No worries ! 😀

gud stuff glad to hear a report – i’m looking at taking that trip to cork in October, either that or Jet2 to prague with a bit of luck!
If you’re going in October do you fancy a meet up ?
Interesting stuff, I’ve often wondered what the Concorde elite would do once it’s gone. I see a market for luxury class sub-sonic travel opening up as the article suggests.
Most remind me of something else, number 1 looks like the 1980’s. Number 4 is the most acceptable to me.
Airline livery designers need to go somewhere inspiring in my humble opinion, everything new these days follows a common and no doubt finance led pattern.
Where have all are the creatives gone ?
The new terminal looks interesting…
