Sorry the dissapointment that a BBMF spitfire managed only one pass ?

Ok sorry again i guess i didn’t explain at the outset. Apparently it was there association open day with many veterans both RAF & USAAF visiting and considering the historic content i thought it was a poor show by the BBMF, although there was no mention of anything from the USAF flying through or past in the original post. Hope that clarifies a few things.
I live near Parham which is a pretty important place for B17 crews from WW2 and we have many Vets visiting at various times listening to there memories puts the word hero’s well and truly into context let alone survivors of the few who are getting fewer.

Am I alone in my confusion as to what the point of this post is?

    What disappointment?

17 plus the UK 7 if i got that right or just 17 Mustangs put together the following
Duxford’s Sally B, TFC P51, Hellcat, Bearcat, Corsair, 3 or 4 Curtiss Hawks, Plane Sailing’s Cat. The P40 at North Wield, French Corsair, Dutch Cat Red Bulls DC3, Corsair, P38, and the black Corsair a few T6 Texans the 2 Europe based B25’s and what else could you have or want to make an American WW2 Airpower line up ide pay good money to see that lot in one place in the UK but were North Wield, Duxford ?

Hi Ian that’s interesting so along with Ferocious Frankie, Miss Velma, Jumpin’ Jacques, Marinell, Janie and Miss Helen that’s 7 in the UK, there must be at least another 5 to 7 around Europe could this be the starting of Mustangs and Legends event in Europe ?

A few months ago there was some mention of this coming to an airfield near Cambridge to a well know operator but it seems to have gone very cold. Is/Was this a malicious rumour or can we expect to see her in the sky’s in the UK in 2013 ? 🙁 http://i1110.photobucket.com/albums/h459/alohha1234/7207685780_7b420b8066_b.jpg?t=1345996048

Just seen the Flying Legends flying list, To be honest I am very underwhelmed by it. Yes there is going to be a P47 razorback flying and a P38. But where the hell has all the P51’s gone and Hurricanes. The Airshow used to be awesome with tons of warbirds flying.

yes a bit poor this year compared to past possible got the olympics to blame for that ! as Legends is 2 weeks earlier than normal and clashes with various other shows.

That isn’t the same as the IWM / TFC list though, is it an official version?

No its not an offical list from the TFC/IWM but there up as attending on most of the individual operators site’s. One thing thats up as attending but not displaying is the Dutch PBY so if thats true there be 3 or 4 boats this year ! Rain expected;)
