i see that the fighter collection have yet to annouce any of their aircraft for LFA. I’m sure 1 or 2 will attend as they usually send half the fleet!!
well if its sold , then hey ho, i’m sure they will just bring something else in, or something out of storage for them to restore.
And if not, they can carry on doing the outstanding and painstaking job of putting this rare beast back where she belongs.
Everyones a winner
i do beleive fluffy said that it was stripped down and is unlikely to be at legends. But hey who knows?
while the other i would imagine would be ‘glacier girl’ and operation bolero III. Any news on whether they are going to complete this journey in 2008?
FIAT C42 Update
Anybody have an update on the tfc cr42? i saw a pic on the excellent duxford update site and made me think, Has the restored engine arrived at dx yet?
cheers
Anybody know the progress they are making on their second seafire? Can we expect to see it this year?
soon to be ready cr42? i think there may be 1 or 2 projects in front of this at the moment.
Alot of people have been saying that the show has become a bit predictable. i am sure if mr grey decided to sell his fleet tommorrow there would be a massive uproar. Our friends over the atlantic would give their right arm for a show as amazing as this.
Bring on July!!!
Any idea if there has been an official statement from the group / operators yet or is it still at the rumours stage?
i beleive kermits tempest is only going to be static.
Surely the fact that now this mossie may have the chance to get air under its wings eventually is a good thing for the worldwide warbird movement? i understand the national importance of it but its sitting out back gathering dust with no immenent funds in place to commence a restoration! The fact that its going to england is superficial (although i can’t say i’m not ecstatic!) and you will receive a hurricane restored to pristine condition no doubt with the standards of warbird restoration nowadays. if they were to strip it of all parts then surely they might as well give you a fibreglass replica instead.
Lets hope this nonsense gets sorted quickly and this historic aircraft can once again grace our skies in the near future.
so how long is the sae fury out for? Do u think we will see it this season?
sitting in the back of the b25 camera ship during the making of the battle of britain film
Any idea how things are progressing with a permit for this bird to take to the skies?
with the static buchon, are there any plans to make it a flyer?
3 flyable me 109s and a static buchon!
