Hi,
Nigel here, not the one mentioned above ! I expect you are all aware (I wasn’t until just now) that there is a Jaguar IV mounted on a Hawker Dankok at Stauning (Denmark). Of course its not going anywhere soon but it might indicate an area that could yield another one?
Good luck and pre-Xmas cheer chaps !

Could try Trainsair at Shoreham with its gloss black Jaguar http://www.transair.co.uk/pu+Shoreham-Shop+ , though I don’t know if they’d be interested.

Hi Olympus, I was allowed to photograph NX49092 ‘101-S’ Bu97280 in the hangar at Biggin on 20th June 1988. By January 1991 it was in primer (no photos though).

Perhaps that is a painting of an event? In Finow (NorthEast Berlin) they have a possible later development in an ex-Soviet hangar

Hi
I recently picked up a cd entitled Sound of the Sabre from the Napier Trust stand at Shuttleworth priced at a cool 3 GBP. You’ll get a start-up, full-rev run and a fly-past recording. I think they’re there most show dates. It’ll be quicker than waiting to see this machine in action too !

Good luck with your tribute event – this gives me a chance to show these pics as my tribute (though I don’t suppose Duxford had me in mind when they parked them together for a photoshoot !!!

Do you fancy twinning your event with an F111 day?

not sure if it worked or not, but attachment may now show wa669 at Biggin on 18/5/84. The scheme for wf791 in 1978 appears identical.

You can understand any reluctance from the Swedes, after all we never got far with the Halifax and the Dornier will be the same in ‘as found’ condition. There are probably those who applaud this (it is authentic), but I’m not one of them – I like my planes complete.

For us Southerners,
Norwegian operate from Gatwick to Gardermoen and tickets are from under £30 each way arrives middayish and back at 6ish so time enough for this little gem. Check opening days and times as it varies during the year !
