The boat look very nice, but have they been built yet?

Actually Slovenia was not really in the war like Croatia, Bosnia and Serbia and on top of all Slovenia was the richest Yugoslavian province, followed by Serbia and Croatia and Montenegro. Even after the war finished, Slovenian GDP/Capita I am sure was bigger than that of Greece and Portugal. Though there was a gap, it was not huge between the economies of Yugoslavian provinces/states.

This is unbelieveable news, I’ve been a big fan of this helo for a long time now! Seriously, when you think about this competition, the MRH-90 was already selected, the comp was just a formality! The EH-101 was just too big and couldn’t operate off the back of our Frigates like this one could. The Sikorski bid was very weak, UH-60’s that are not an improvment on what we already have.

What people here seems to have forgotten is that these 12 are just the peliminary order, these machines will replace the S-70A-9 Balckhawks that the army have as well as the S-70B-2 Seahawk’s that the Navy use as well as the Seaking’s which are really starting to get on now with the youngest now 35 years old. All up we could see up to 80 of these helo’s being acquired by the ADF, give me real hope now! Now all we have to do is fix the aircraft element of the Airforce and we’ll be set 😉

Makes me consider re-enlisting 😉

Perhaps New Zealand will consider them as well now that we have bought them, would make a lot of sence for them, perhaps a logistical deal like the SH-2G/Anzac deals.

This is the one that was painted in special Aussie markings at the last Avalon show, if you look in the background you can see the mock up of the Naval one, at the time the naval one was at NAS Nowra undergoing traials.

If you ask me, there wasn’t really any competition because MRH-90 could easily take over the show, and eventually make its way into Australian service.

The Yuan Class, how good is this subamrine when compare to Collins class?

I do have what may be a fake photograph of a Myanmarese F-7M or F-7-2000. Tanzania did operate the F-7 I think, just not the F-7A but rather the F-7B and some examples of the F-7N (via. Iran). I would like to add that I am willing to be corrected on the matter of Tanzanian F-7’s, alot of contradictory material has ben published on the subject.
