Where does this fit in with historic aviation?

Took it apart, still didn’t work. Now here’s the embarassing bit……………..
My colleague tried some different batts and it worked. Now, to salvage some pride I think it’s the charger thats fubar’ed as i tried 2 different lots of batts from the same charger and it still didn’t come alive so that’s my next point of investigation. The batteries I used were fresh from a charge.Hmmmm.:o
Thanks for your suggestions people.

It’s been sat at the end of my bed in its leather case. The batts were left in for the duration (a few months) but theres no evidence of battery leakage.
I don’t want to use it as an excuse to get an DSLR……honest!!:)
Ta for the reply.

That Andover would make a good attraction a la G-CONV thats gone to serve as accomodation.
If, like me, you love 748’s I recommend ‘Robby’ Robinsons book ‘Avro One’ in which he talks about his days flying them on delivery and such from Woodford.

Isn’t this a wake up call? How about opening your eyes and supporting the Vulcans that are in museums, groundrunners etc and putting money and support towards them thus ensuring no repeat of what has happened here. They are the ones that need support.
Woodford does not have the manpower to send them off to ‘restore’ 603. It’s a business and the available manpower is scarcely enough for the production line thats there.

Dougie Godfrey was his name and a smashing fella he was too.

Could anyone confirm the number of Viggens on display at the Museum please. At the time of my last visit there were 2 including the 2nd Prototype. The website now only shows one.
Any news on this years airshow date as well as Satenas’ would be most welcome also.
Cheers,

Not strictly historic but my concern also lies with technical colleges around the country that have instruments with the faces off.
