Yeah, but realistically, what would they let Joe Public do with all this H&S

I am looking to help with the preservation of this airframe at Waddington, maybe spending 1/2 days a month there, even if it’s just cleaning her!! Could anyone point me in the right direction of who to contact at Waddington to register my interest? 😉

I am looking in to this as we speak now. Is she still physically inside Waddington? Any idea on who to contact to ask if I/we could spend one, maybe two days a month keeping her going?

The guy isn’t arsed Jon, he has us by the b******s. He is hoping our consiences are pricked by the fact she will get hacked up anyway and he’ll make £2000 just by scrapping her, if Vulcan Love’s figures are accurate, which by the look of it they are. So either way, he isn’t losing anything, he’s putting a gun to ‘391’s head and commanding a ridiculous ransom. 😡

Just called them there, viewing can be arranged for next week. The lad on the phone, who was great said he wants £4000 😮 😮 😮 for her!!! I think we have possibly reached the end of the road with this chaps, it’s touch and go she’s worth £2000 never mind double that, he paid £4800 for the whole airframe!! Has the price gone up because we’ve registered an interest? Was there a reserve on ebay of £4000? How much would you estimate the scrappers have made so far out of ‘391’s demise?

Looks like i’m on my Jackson Jones then doesn’t it??!! Whats the address, phone number and the skinny bloke to get in the cockpit??!! Vulcan Love, is it possible to get into the cockpit? Is access really restricted by the engine? Vulcanites, am I attempting to kill myself entering this cockpit on its side? Is there anything on the starboard side that may catch me out in the dark? Once in, what am I looking for, apart for missing instruments (which is all of ’em)? What if I can’t get in cos of that engine? What am I looking at externally? :confused:
